      metal571 right. That’s a shame. Do you know any alternatives with better soundstage and a neutral sound that are closed? I think I could put up with the discomfort and quality of the PSBs but that’s only if the sound is worth it.

      @metal571 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@keshavrai4621 no. K371 is as neutral to the Harman response as I know under 200 for a closed back. If you want something good but brighter there's still K553 mk2 aka K550 mk3

      metal571 sorry to keep bothering you but would you be able

Pull up a reference song and it also sounds like crap. My buddy showed up with some beyerdynamics and I nearly shit my pants. I was always told that the athm50x’s were good. But naw. If you really like music the only thing someone starting out needs to know is find something thats comfortable and sounds good for your type of music or particular application. That's basically everything the casual listener needs to know. A pair of headphones that are comfortable to wear should be the first consideration. Then sound and cost. No matter how great a pair of phones sound. If you can't comfortably wear them then they are useless. Forget about neutrality unless you're planing on being an audio engineer and mixing live or recorded sound. What an engineer needs and what a music lover needs are two different things. No two peoples ears are the same. what sounds good to you may not sound good to me. An engineer listens to music at high volumes. Their cans need to be neutral . They aren't enjoying the music they are listening for defects.

    Please take a look/do a comparison of the DT 177x GO vs the DT 1770 Pro - interested to see what you think and if the 177xs improved upon the things you didn't like in the 1770s.

    Now i understand what roll off means ,for instance, you can,t scream in an open space with a Base voice,i think.Or not. Thank you, nice video.

    • @robertp457
      @robertp457 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Roll off" is part of the frequency response that dips down and keep dropping significantly. Bass tends to go in straight lines and doesn't reflect while high pitches do. Think about a subwoofer and running a range of frequencies through it the higher the pitch the less sound will be reproduced by the subwoofer. If you looked at the frequency response you'd see a "roll off" towards the higher frequencies.

      really great soundstage , great detail too!
      Personal preference personal preference personal preference
      And also personal preference personal preference personal preference personal preference personal preference personal preference personal preference
      The a hole in this vid even crap shoots himself saying this 5:30
      They're incredibly good for budget and I am sure many famous songs were monitored ON m50s,
      They're incredibly good hes just an opinionated a hole about it
      Like what you like, they're good for budget range, and many great sound engineers used them for many famous songs, I dont understand why people are azz holes to others about simply liking a pair of cans
      I had m50s for 6 years and put them down after I got the sony XM4s
      They're great for people getting into good audio cause they're such a small v shape sound that its flat but had a fun kick to it, I hate the overly mid bass from the m40s and I also bought the m50xbt but dont use them lol
      They good, just this goon is a goon
      I cant respect dms for berating others for what they like

      Nah, it means the mid range frequencies have more "volume" overall than the bass or the treble frequencies.

    2025 The hardest thing when you are audiophile is explaining other normal people (family friends ) why you neeed another headphone if you already have another 5.7.10 or 250 like zeos pantera , most people out of this hobby think we all are crazy or dumb

    I did sub BTW. Like your takes.
    PS. Luv to see you review maybe some more creative unique, unusual DAC Amp hook-ups/pairings. Creative in a sense. Just like that stuff. Not much on TH-cam for that. Zeos has done tad here and there, on the fly in reviews. Now I get not all Dacs pair nicely to certain Amps; and some are made to thrive more so with others. Having said this, hence, why I'd like to see more creative hook-ups. Creative, in that they combine well together, and aren't usually always thought of in a pairing or stacking. Rather, than just the jds and schitt stack (which are fine); or the common ones (and I have no beef with them); but would like to see some unique ones, that play good together. Just my thoughts. Thanks man. Great stuff. Know I'm late on this vid. Catching up. 🤘🏼👌🏼✌🏼

    Do those earlobes alter the sound in any way when you're listening to headphones? Honest question. They look like they might.

      Nope! Done them in and out dozens of times. Even spent hours running sweeps and trying to measure it. No change in results.

    I still don't really understand the definition of "grain". I originally thought it talks about the definition of treble is hazy and "low-fi" but the more I listen to, the more it is caused by thr recording itself.
    So, I will be much appreciated if you can explain the meaning of grain !

    • @metal571
      @metal571 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's one of those things where you just have to hear a headphone that has less of it to really understand. It has nothing to do with frequency response at all. Everything just sounds clearer with less fuzziness to the sound no matter if the headphone is brighter or darker

    • @soraflame66
      @soraflame66 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's like when you listen to beats headphones a lot of it sounds kind of muddy and not very clear even though it may sound exciting, "fun" and really bassy it's just not good quality or detailed at all. That is an example.

      I mean a schiit stack is the bottom of the barrel and it’s already $200. A lot of good amps by themselves run from $300 to thousands not even counting a dac.
