Glad got to see the rest of the games that I missed earlier today! I think in game 3 where you decided not to swing in, it would have been worth it to swing in. Your outs are windling down and the opponents advantage is growing. Cashing it makes sense in that spot, especially because your attack overall is pretty good. They eat 2 creatures, and trade a 3rd, but they still take 7, and you still have a quite wide board the following turn to attack for at least 6. It looks like you weren’t for sure dead on the crack back with 2 blockers, so it seems the best path towards possible victory. Thanks for the steam/video!

I cant believe he literally played against John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats and he didnt even notice. he literally spoke at my graduation last year. i didnt even know he played MTG and i had a chance to talk to him about it and I MISSED IT im losing my mind
I know it's early in the format. There are green pump spells at G, there are no force spikes at 1 mana. I'm sure you'd agree x=3 is more right at 1:19:30
So funny you mention T1 Utopia Sprawl into T2 Troyan into 6-drop when that is exactly what LSV did on his 2. draft. Turns out T3 Archive Dragon is a pretty ok play.
At 1:01:00 , couldn't torch the tower have ended his game by removing the heartflame and letting the opponent double block? Wouldn't the play have been to play the 2 drop and bargain it to his own torch to guarantee that he couldn'tlose?
Gnawing crescendo and Impact Tremors are pretty awful cards most of the time, they aren't the kind of thing that would ever pull me into a deck. I get that they are good with rats when you draw them at the right time, but that's not enough for me. The deck I ended up with is something I was much happier to have than what you're suggesting I should have done. The results were pretty good too!

Kind of a blessing and a curse that you can't stack roles onto individual creatures tho. Wait actually if you create a role token with a token doubler in play, do both of the roles try to go on a single creature, or do you get two separate roles for two separate creatures?
Went to my first pre-release in years tonight. Everything was chill till Doubling season hit the field. It didn't do much, apart from create a lot of confusing interactions lol.

When your opponent chose not to put the Wicked Role token, he really should’ve put it on a Rat. Even if he confused it for a Cursed Role, that does nothing to a 1/1 Rat, and would’ve been sacrifice fodder. Bit of an oopsie there

So after that 3rd game against dimir it turns out it wasn’t Bitterblossom you had to worry about. It was Skitterblossom.

I don't see Doubling season as necessarily bad in this limited format but more of a build around if you can get there with the role token synergies.
