I'm dealing with pancreatitis, and was told by my dietician that tofu is good for me to try. I picked your recipe because it looks easy to do, delicious, and I didn't want to fry it. Can't anyways, right now. I'm preparing it right at this moment. Thank You!

Wonderful way to make Tofu! I'm going to try this soon. In the meantime, do you mind providing links to where you brought some of your accessories used in the cooking such as a mixing bowl, 1/2 baking sheet, lite spatula etc.? This way it really helps the overall experience you are providing through your channel.

I wondered earlier, but came to your comments.
Saw someone called: you crazy for not using parchment paper.
    As that was my question.
However, I seriously hope you will share more tofu recipes.
I used to order it special, instead of from the buffet.
As, I do not care for slimy tofu.
Also, read a story maybe 1.5 years ago about, street vendors selling crisp reg. or seasoned.
As treats for college students, and business people to snack on.
    Between classes, and meetings.
I just instantly wanted to be there. Enjoying the Beauty and Lovely Tofu Delights. 😊

Great, nice recipe. I eat quite a lot of baked tofu these days, never fried, at least once a week Much better than fake meat IMO. I usually use extra or super firm, with minimal draining, and thinner slices. I also like to add a tsp or so smoked paprika and onion powder to the marinade, but this looks very tasty as well, thanks!

Can it be used as a sub in such things as chicken salad sandwiches, or other such recipes with chicken or pork?
I'm wondering if it can be done with various seasonings that would cause it to sub for chicken or pork better.
Might this work better if it is only lightly browned?
How do they hold up in soups, please?
My friend is vegan. I like to divide off recipes and make mine the regular way, but her's vegan.

I was prepping tofu for my wife one time, and I said,"anyone who doesn't like tofu just hasn't had it prepared right". moments later one piece dropped off my cutting board onto my counter and I grabbed it and popped it into my mouth. she looked at me and said, "or perhaps you just like it too much"

Pepper stems great long, are short cut by processing companies
in latin countries. ive lived south, several years. they hav set in mind 'ideas' they dont waiver! Scallions, green onions, chive- like taste green tops are ARE also cut short, thrown out as trash, not even fed to farm animals.
its not tradition, its what gramma did, so everything in place, they ALL always CUT off pepper stems. We had tiny sharing garden in Guadalajara,
but my hubbie standing in bathroom, 2:00a.m., passed out, fell over into my arms.
We left our charming home, friends, the country, facing 3 years of abdominal, thoracic aneurysms, massive gallbladder attacks,, surgeries, three hospitals, two states,
dachsie, sealpointe Siamese year on 9th floor holiday inn. BUT i know why pepper stems are cut off..,
    id never cut.
THANK YOU FABULOUS STELLAR SHOWS WOW !!!

i have NEVER tasted tofu taking on the flavor of anything. on the surface, sure, but never inside no matter how long it sits in a marinade. i still cook with it but that whole "taking on the flavor..." has never happened for me, no matter what recipe i use.

    • @m.taylor
      @m.taylor 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Me neither. I am going to try boiling the tofu in water for 15 minutes before soaking it in marinade. I just read that the boiling makes it dryer and firmer so it soaks up the marinate. Let me test it out.
