Exploring Western Printing's Graffiti

This is raw footage I took back in 1997 or early 1998. First shots are ULTRA and EWOK rollers along 9.
Then this was an abandon warehouse that became our mini hall of fame. Back when Urban exploring was not a thing, and the place was pretty much exclusively visited by the same 5 -7 people painting there ( Ultra, Mez, Ewok, Make, Mone, Slept, MZR, Ralo ) This was the Western Printing Factory which produced Walt Witman and several other Comic labels. Before that it was a shady marketplace where they actually tried to hold circuses and before that a Fiat Plant in the teens. This video shows just how creepy the place was in the last days before Demo. This was probably a time period where I couldn't deal with school anymore and we would just go create our own adventures in an area where there wasn't anything interesting going on. Allot of the modern generations would loose their minds having to create there own entertainment the way we did. And we didn't even tell many folks about it. I left the audio raw too because my man MZR at the end cracks me up, and this really brings me back to those days just hanging out with your boys painting and cracking jokes, those who write get it..And yes this place was haunted, out of all the Abandon warehouse I've been in, this was the only one that I ever really heard and saw things. We were painting one Sunday late in the afternoon, and all of a sudden one of the gates that roll down just fly's open, and an elderly man in a flannel shirt comes through it and turns and disappears into a wall. At first our reaction was to spin around, see this, and sorta drop to the ground even though we're all in the same giant room. I instantly start grabbing my bag and shoving paint in it and glance up and realize, yea theres no door and he went through the wall. Now Watching this video, those rain drops coming through are so loud they would cover up the sound of anyone approaching. Just imagine them being broken by a loud "HeY! " scream, you heart would jump out of your chest..Good times, Good times..
