Sekuru nyaya yamatanga yakadzama zvikuru, so as you said you will have another episode. While I agree with most of what you said I really think that we must not take what the missionaries wrote as facts or the truth. The fact that some Chiefs/ Mambo got "baptised" doesn't mean that they actually became xtians!! 2 weeks of preaching isn't enough to convert anyone to any religion let alone that person to really understand whats being preached. We have people who have been going to church for the past 80 years and think that they are xtians yet they don't understand nor know how xtianity began and who made it a "world" religion and how!! So the argument that we must be xtians because our Fore Fathers were is moot. In face, as you said, the fact that that very "baptised" Chief killed the missionary shows how much he believed what the guy tried to preach to him!! Xtianity is a very violent belief system which thrives on blackmail, threats and murder all of which are sanctioned a very sadistic deity. This is what most Black believers fail to understand or refuse to see. We all grew up under the xtianity spell and for me it took a lot of research, questioning the popular narrative and critical thinking to conclude that the bible is a superstitious work of fiction. CHIVANHU EXISTS and we LIVE it in our daily lives. We can NEVER be both xtians and Chivanhu followers. Our identity doesn't allow it!
@King_HYufa Can you be specific because that statement is too general leaving anyone to interpret it the way they think they understand it? !! I suppose you are confusing (mixing up) the biblical deity (jehova/yaweh) with our own Mwari weCHIVANHU!! The 2 have nothing in common. We NEVER EVER worshipped Mwari or Vadzimu neither did we EVER have DIRECT contact with them. Mwari wedu NEVER DEMANDS to be worshipped nor is "HE" cruel, jealousy, evil, murderous, blackmailer, unfair, etc ( traits exhibited by the biblical Jewish deity)!! We only thank and ask for things through the people we know (eg parents, Grand parents, etc) who then relay the message through the right channels until they reach Mwari.
Idama💯. You are African before religious. You can change religions, you cannot change Chivanhu.
