    Rusty,
Thank you for your efforts in developing your channel to benefit those of us needing clear instructions to becoming a better guitar player. I wasted decades by not learning theory or taking lessons.
Each time I tune in to your channel I am grateful to God for you and your teaching technic. Your so humble.
May God richly bless you, if only for subliminally displaying His Word. It does make an impact weather you mention it or not because, as His Word states, it never come back to Him void but rather, always accomplishes what He sent it out for. Glory to His name!

It’s great that you’ve taken the time to focus on muting and control here, not just reeling off the notes as many tutorials usually do. It’s this honing of the instrument that really takes time but as you said, it’s such a crucial part of being able to play the guitar well. Thank you Rusty 👍

I've been playing for about 40 years. Last year I decided to take some lessons to fill in holes in my understanding and learn some new styles. Its been great. I realized the "base" of my understanding is like a block of Swiss cheese with some holes going all the way to the bottom.. it's been fun filling those in. I highly recommend it.

I started in my 50s , cause in the younger years drugs and music went together, then I gave my life to the Lord and lost music. BUT God is FAITHFUL and started directing me back. Well one day I got my guitar and picked it up and I heard " WILL YOU PUT THAT DOWN AND HANG OUT WITH ME ❓️" Now I live by myself and I looked around, I knew that the Lord was talking to me but I was looking to see if He meant someone else 😂. Then He said " I CAN GIVE YOU WAY MORE BACK TO YOU THAN YOU GIVE ME ❗️" About a half hour! I heard " THANKS FOR HANGING OUT WITH ME ❗️" I just wept thinking that the KING OF THE UNIVERSE just thanked me.

Controlling the sound is a big thing … to get the nuances and dynamics right , same thing as you sing … you don’t go 100% throughout a song .. or if you talk … in expression/communication, which is music , everything has to have a human quality … so to give a solo a life like feel … let your guitar sing … ring out what you have to ring out ….
