I’m laughing. Not at you but only because of your opinion of the Dick Tracy comic. You’re definitely showing your age on this one. I recall you made mention of Dick Tracy I believe last week in your preview video and you’re point of reference was the Warren Beatty film instead of his roots in the 1930’s. Dick Tracy is what we call a hard boiled detective. I read his Sunday comic strips in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Great stuff and a great cast of characters/villains. And the time period is the best. Maybe not your cup of tea but if you haven’t seen the movies China Town, Mulholland Falls or L.A. Confidential, these films will get you in the right frame of mind for Dick Tracy.. but to each his own.
people who complain about ultimate spider-man are truthfully just not into the book. they don't want it to build up they want it all thrown at them at once. but, i enjoy this series. ultimate spider-man is showing us a world where the heroes were betrayed and never got to be the heroes they were meant to be. now, they are all getting that chance and it's a slow start. but, it's a really good slow start. cause in peter's case, he never had those powers like he would have had as a young teenager and now as a husband and father, he is now that hero he wants to be but, becoming a hero takes time. just like in the amazing fantasy comic where we are introduced to peter parker aka spider-man, he gets bit by the spider, he goes through the motions and so on and it's what built his character up into his own amazing spider-man series. but, now adays, his whole character is a complete freaking mess. that is why other people are enjoying ultimate spider-man more than amazing cause the story is building off a once powerless peter parker and helping to build out this world and life of his and i love it. it's like how i said on the episode of my show talking about how the mcu started off slow and now it's complete train wreck cause of too much out there all at once. people need to enjoy and take into account a more slower pace in the comics and learn to appreciate it for what it is.
I know we don't have accurate comic sales data, but according to a fairly known site, the first issue of Jackpot & Black Cat made it to #50 Who did this?? 😂 I'm triggered and I'm not a Marvel reader 👀
Looking at that cover for jackpot and black cat….. trying to imagine my brain making the phrase “hey that looks like a solid comic, I think I’ll pick it up.” Can’t do it.
Love where Ultimate spider-man is going to go but man def missing Checchetto. Hes wont be back till issue 6. Filler artist missed the mark in my opinion.
Glad you liked Dick Tracy... Sad you won't be continuing but I get it. I agree with you 100 percent on black cat. What they are doing to her character in this book is pissing me off. No amount of cleavage can hide how bad that story is.
Lol oh my gosh So true. The way the character has been since she's been in the Amazing Spider-Man stories and the way Jed McKay wrote her she would never do what she is currently doing for some random chick that she just met. And then any threat that Mary Jane had after the first issue went down the toilet really pointless.
Lmao I was on my knees 😅 looking through boxes of older comics (mostly they ain't old IMO) in my LCS and had to stop myself from laughing when someone asked the seller if they have Jackpot 😂
Great breakdown as always & sad to see Duke go. I agree, Feral is great, but Stray Dogs was that right time right place magic. Happy to see that Feral is ongoing. Have a great day man. Stay legendary & much ❤
I liked Creature from the Black Lagoon. Strangely I felt the plot the other way around, it went too fast for me, and the art did not work either for me, but still a enjoyable reading. By the way, it reminds me a very old comic named "Hand of Fate" from Eclipse comics, which is about a Siren/Mermaid who drags sailors to the shore, enchant them, and kill them. Is a story mixed with horror, investigation, and so. Pretty decent comic which I believe was a one shot, and I feel like actually inspired movies like the "2019 " The Lighthouse". Regards.
Idk the way the panel layouts and facial expressions were showing Harry makes me think he’s going to eventually be a villain. Something seems off with him to me
Definitely over hyping USM. You had some slight criticism of Black Panther 3 for the same reasons, including lack of significant action and not moving the main storyline. This one had zero action and zero progression. It was fine but totally skippable
I’m definitely in the opposite camp on ultimate spider man. I think all of this “development” could have been down in half the time. Definitely a filler issue
I always appreciate these as I am curious what your thoughts are on titles. I totally underdtand that we all have different tastes in genres we select. I have always loved organized crime and detective movies, shows and books, so I did like Dick Tracy. I noticed that you do not review the DSTLRY books. Is it due to the format or price? I will say that they are double sized and come out every other month or so. For that moving forward, I will wait to read each title after having all 3 issues. It seems like that is the plan DSTLRY has for their titles. Tynion just released issue one of Spectergraph and was interested in your take on it. Snyder's White Boat from DSTLRY comes out soon too. Have a great one Mike!

No Deathstalker? It was my favorite book or the week.

Glad to see you liked Duke #5! I have not seen if you reacted to TMNT untold destiny #2 but plz do not sleep on that one
Agree with you on Ultimate Spiderman and you make great points. Glad I passed on Jackpot and Black Cat.

SO glad to hear he’s coming back!
That Duke cover is horrendous lol I got a variant. But can't wait to finally catch up to it
Great video, thanks Mike!
Great episode as always! 🤟

Read Cobra Commander #4 this week. Really looking forward to the Destro run that's coming!
Oh absolutely
Love the vids. Have a great day
Duke was definitely a WIN this week. Hopefully there's a sequel series or something for him.

Enjoyed the reviews
Thanks again,Mike
Quick question. How do you keep up with all the ongoing storylines and characters in the different comics you read ???
I’m definitely in the opposite camp on ultimate spider man. I think all of this “development” could have been down in half the time. Definitely a filler issue
I could understand that Frank I just love this version of Spider-Man and seeing these characters interact was a bunch of fun for me.
Will watch after, excited for Dick Tracy

Yeah I'm not huge on the oversized magazine format type of book so I'm honestly just going to stay away from it Just my preference.
Shirt goes hard Mike
Thank you 😀
Awesome shirt
Thank you 😎👍
Have you ever read Good Boy?
I don't think so.
@@ComicBookCorner2.0 it’s basically John Wick roll reverse, it’s really good. My local CBS owner she writes it.
