This is proving to be a very annoying issue with many himalayans. Tappet noise is there and low end torque issue is only felt in traffic or on a very tight off-road where you have to move from standstill position
Hi, for low end torque, slightly adjust the clutch and it works wonders... otherwise you'll hear that kitkit crying sound by engine shifting from 1st gear to second gear at low rpms... Regarding tappet noise from the engine, I have not heard it in my bike even after the first service but I'm hoping I'll do so... But I've seen so many vehicles/reviews getting that sound. I've not cruised above 65kmph ish till now maybe the engine is still smooth with a nice thump sound... but I feel the engine is very sensitive though it's a strong one... Better not revv above 6.5k rpm , only a few times while overtaking is fine...
No it won’t get loose with time. Instead you will feel irritated at slow speeds. So go back to service centre and get that rectified. Mine is fine now and i have got it marked on the nut till the point it needs to get tight

I had the same issue. They tightened the coneset. However, handle feels heavy now. Does it get loose over the time? Or you still feel the heaviness?
