Tails restlessly roams the forest of fears, hopelessly searching for his best friend, Sonic. He cannot fight, he cannot smile anymore. He is a scared child, who just wants help. Every time he meets a new face in the forest he was killed in, he immediately jumps to conclusions that this is Sonic, but deep down, he knows that Sonic is never coming back. However, something is different, upon meeting Reed the Rabbit. Instead of running away from Tails out of fear, he stays with Tails, and sings a solemn song with him, comforting Tails’ feelings. After spending a few minutes with Reed, Reed convinces him to take a stand, that things will not get better if Tails mopes the forest, miserable. Tails believes Reed’s words. Soon after, Reed and Tails part ways, Tails feeling better, ready to set things straight.
