If you're just starting out, watch this new player guide series for some fantastic tips. The game leaves quite a few mechanics unexplained that you will want to know when you start to avoid making mistakes.

New to this game and going through your new player guides now finding it very helpful, please keep it up!
So I got a nat 5 selection card from the returning player bonus (must have tried the game a while back). Any suggestions on who to pick? I started out with water Persephone as well, and chose the Arthur contract

Honestly? save it. you get so many free summons in MSL. I advise getting to midgame, and once you feel like you're slowing down a bit, then see if you got any lucky 5 star summons by that point. If you did, and you got the wrong element (the same 5 star of a different element would have been better), then use the selector ticket to get the better element so you can feed the 5 star wrong element you summoned into it. Best way to make sure you get an EVO 3 of the correct element and monster of your choice faster. This is really good advice, btw. So many 5 stars in MSL are terrible if they're the wrong element. Not only do you need to summon the meta 5 stars, they need to be the correct element as well. The layers of RNG can be super punishing, so the selector ticket can help mitigate that.
I know this is late but thank you so much for making this I uninstalled the game maybe a year ago because like you I made all the same wrong choices in the beginning and nobody ever really explained this game in depth quite as well so I was stuck but always loved the game and graphics and now thanks to you I'm thinking about playing again now that I know what to do although I'm sure alot has changed but anyways I also wish you'd finish this series instead of stopping on video 4 I wanted to see you crush a few stages with light Arthur after you got him lol

just started and am going through this series. thanks so much for your hard work!! one question, Odin now has an ultimate evolution, but definitely won't hit as hard as odin. if i picked water persephone, is arthur still the preferred pick? i lean towards yes since her abilities are basically what light and dark odin do, to differing degrees. wanted to check back in though 😊 thanks again!!
It depends on your luck when summoning, to some extent. You still get an extra copy of Arthur for free that you don't get of Odin. If you have a lot of luck summoning Odin copies, I suggest going for the L/D version of Odin you prefer best, unless you prefer Arthur's looks and skillset better. If I got lucky summoning some Odin copies, I would go for Odin myself.

I just saw the amount of five starts you got, jesus dude, the fuck is this?!!!!! I never got this much in my life!!! And I am just getting back and all my team sucks, and with no sliming, I think I am stuck for a good while,
That sucks man, sorry to hear that. We'll, if you watch the rest of the short series, I do show some of the best free monsters you can catch and then easily max out. The game gives a lot of currency to summon with. You will get lucky eventually!
Just started 4 days ago and I had to spent all of my gold just for monster inventory while relying on outdated info from 2015-2017 so this series really helped me
I love the series.
Hopefully you can keep it going, maybe do a weekly episode with less content to continue the series!

I personally went with water Jorm. His 2 actually works as a decent curse engine for fire banshee or the hades you get from hero dungeons. Plus with him as leader, golem automatically has lower resistance. It works surprisingly well for my F2P account so far. Granted, that was entirely cobbled together after the initial "I have no idea what any of these do... fire ninja seems good. OO, snek!"
Also, knowing what I know now, there's a nat 3 that does everything you picked persephone for but better as a healer. It's the little butterfly cat thing I forget the name of. One of it's forms has the same party-heal she does as well as a healing ability that applies attack up or some other buff. Then another form has an SP charge ability and a barrier on it's heal for the entire party. Knowing that, you probably REALLY should have gone with fire shinobi or one of the other attackers that are made to giga-stomp bosses.
Hey Odin has and ultimate evo now pls tell if I should still pick light Arthur? Or choose one of the Odin?
If you still get a free copy of Arthur from the new player quest, then he is still the easiest to get EVO3. However, with a bit more patience you can get another copy of Odin by crafting her from pieces, or by pulling for her and getting lucky. Odin is arguably the better choice, but Arthur is still easier to EVO3 soonest, AFAIK. However, if they added a way to get another copy of Odin, then Odin wins completely. In that case, definitely go Odin. I can't remember which Odin is better, light or dark, but I think it will depend on whose Ultimate ability is better now.
@@rekersivegaming light odin has heal like persephone with tank class and ultimate gives barrier based on hp but i chose arthur because i have persephone so thanks.

The contract portion kinda terribad. Just pick your favorites evo 1 are fine to use early on for any nat 5
Statwise, I definitely disagree with you. Evo3 nat 3s have much better stats than evo1 nat 4s and nat 5s. Also, it's about planning for the future. The game is massively punishing if you don't plan your evo path ahead of time. You can spend months making up for a mistake. You can set your progress back on an evo3 nat 5 by months if you don't plan it out.
@@rekersivegaming yeah, but to throw away one of the 2 LDs is too big of a risk as rare as they are. It’s about investment vs reward cause you can evo 3 a light Arthur within 2 weeks of beginning. Without choosing fire Arthur and dark Arthur
@@Ozzyas69 Oh I understand now. You meant that I was wrong to suggest going all-in on Arthur, vs getting light/dark Odin/Arthur as well, which would be better overall for the account in the long run. Yes, you're completely correct. In the long run, it is better to diversify and get as many l/d nat 5s as possible, even if they stay at evo 1 for a long while.
@@rekersivegaming yeah, just because once you get rolling you can get 2 or 3 universal gleems, cause the mistake I made personally was taking wood Odin she falls off super hard
