Good video. Great instructions. I can't get up and down from the floor; so I don't know what I'm going to do.

I was thinking about the second part of your statement, have you thought about thread basting, fusible batting, or basting powder? All these can be done without getting up and down off the floor. Happy quilting!

The word is “taut”, not “taunt”.

Yep....I say words wrong all the time...for my friends and family, they find humor in it...I even blend sayings together. I have been like that all my life. It is what it is and is part of my personality at my age. But thank you for you telling me, seriously. I will try to remember the correct word. :) But I will bet, you will catch many others. :)

How long does the spray last? How soon do you need to stitch?

Love this question!!! I will be honest with you, I have never really waited to quilt something. Saying that, I have quilted things and when I cut off the extra batting and backing to square the project before binding it, the batting was still sticking to the batting after several months. I throw scraps into a bin for several months, before I deal with them. Not a great idea...fyi. It is a temporary adhesive, but I have never really tested it. Soooo, I am going to do just that. I have a small quilt that I need to quilt. I am going to baste it with 505 next week and not quilt it until July/August. I will definitely let you know the results!!! Thank you for asking this! Another experiment!!! Love experiments!!!

It says on the 505 can to ALWAYS spray the batting. I noticed you sprayed the quilt top instead of the batting. For the backing you did spray the batting as 505 can indicates.

Of course following can directions is ALWAYS a good idea...but, sometimes I have found different things that haven't bitten me yet 😀 Thanks for stopping by!

I would have to read the can, but I do believe it says dry clean? The back of the can should tell you how to remove it :)

I've only ever used 505 Angela and use my floor. Sticky yes, but easily washed off. Thanks for your video. I'm just a novice still. I've subscribed.🥰 Iris
