- Do you know there are more than one legalised brothel district in Singapore? Where I am roaming here is one of Singapore's oldest and legalised brothel, yet it is not known to many people. This place is dated back to the 1928 where it first got its name, Petain Road.

What happened to Bugi Street and Change Alley, where many Commonwealth Soldiers frequented during the 50s and 60s.

Bugi Street was still a red light area in 85. That was last time I went to Singapore and had to do a Shore Patrol watch around the bars on Bugi Street.

It's a poor country, many can barely afford food or clothing in that shit hole country, you expect them to have a sense of style.
It's due to climate - it's one hell hole of hummidity there. Like any hot location - ppl adapt to cultural dress.

Indians usually wear sarong especially non-Singaporean Indians like the ones in the video. It’s a traditional bottom for them. Even Singaporean Indians wear them sometimes. Cheap sarong in Singapore usually have that pattern so maybe bcos those pants have almost the same pattern, he thought it’s a pants-like sarong. Singapore is a multicultural country so everyone respects each other traditional outfit. I as a Singaporean don’t see a problem with his outfit.

First time in Singapore way back early 90’s my friend toured us around and for novelty brought us to this place to see the seedy side of the City for that shock factor.
Them rooms have trash bins and peeking to each you’ll notice the bins overflowing with tissue papers and condoms scattering around the surrounding floor. The haggish whores were like old like museum pieces and dirty as their building exterior.
Those patronizing this place must have stomachs of steel and a resolution of a suicidal man.
This video was taken in the morning. We toured it at night and the place was like a refugee camp brimming to burst with long queues mostly bangalla workers and Ah Peks.
Only someone with a death wish would cater to this place.
