Not just that but in past playthroughs, if I've needed more stone than I can farm I'll trade for the staircases cause once deconstructed they yield 99 stone each (which only takes an hour in game) which is great if its a crafting/smelting day.
It's actually very common for people to trade jades for stairs at the trader. Mainly because it makes getting to level 100 easier and thus helps you get prismatic shards

Congratulations! I love seeing challenge runs! I'm blown away by the coincidence because I just finished a very similar run to this! Except in mine I wasn't allowed to use energy for anything at all, and I went the Joja route instead of completing the CC. But after doing it I was sure the CC could have been completed! And you just kinda proved that, so I'm really jazzed about your run! Some other challenge ideas include the prison-style challenge, which includes varieties where you leave your farm only once per year, or per season, or per festival, or per upgrade that you buy from Joja. Or the opposite challenge where you never get to use your farm for anything except checking mail, and that includes never getting to sleep or place chests or other items on the farm. Another favorite challenge run was the Linus/Poverty run, where you attempt to befriend everyone in town to max hearts (which means 8 for marriage candidates) while never selling anything. Your money pretty much only comes from doing jobs for folks, or from mail. In my playthrough of this one I also completed the CC, got four candles from Grampa, and made a million dollars before the end of year two, which were all surprise achievements! But I think they would make good goals for anyone else doing that challenge too.

Before i started making the staircase trade i had 0 auto petters and was constantly running out of stone. After i set up a jade shed i have never run out of stone, i have 4 auto petters that are going *completely* unused and 7 more in active use (4 coops and 3 barns it would be 4 barns if pigs were in the same tier of cuteness as any of the other animals). . Having access to... how many crystalarium do i have in my shed? 124 sounds right, 124 staircases every 2 days for jade i think? Means i have infinite access to stone. Infinite access to treasure floors from skull cavern. Infinite access to Qi gems. Like?? If i wanted any of that without the jade trade i woild have to spend HOURS digging up stone. . I made a lot of money by just selling wild seeds. Summer wild seeds make the most money. That's how I completed the community center within the first year.

This is a really good run! Also, for those who are wondering, this challenge is possible without the scythe and the traveling cart too. Not to cross promote or anything, but wand of sparking goes a little more in depth on tricks and strategies for a slightly different run. if anyone´s interested.
For the rock blocking the Dwarf, you can use a cherry bomb to blow it up, and I always use a cherry bomb to clear it if I can spare a couple of in game minutes

If there's one thing I'd suggest to do differently in the future, it'd be to mute your voice in the gameplay audio while you're in the middle of commentary, or at least have some form of very distinct difference (volume, quality, or otherwise) between the two, as the commentary was sometimes hard to understand from your voice in the gameplay overlapping This also made me think I was in a discord call with people on multiple occasions because it's not uncommon for me to have some background video going to have something to fall back to if it goes quiet for some reason or another, which was a little silly on my part hahah
Jade for stone is actually a pretty good trade in the late game when you’re doing skull cavern runs & can craft crystalariums. Way easier than grinding for stone.

Like we all know everyone uses a script but it helps if it doesn't sound like your reading a script, does that make any sense?
Practice makes perfect. I do stand up and have much better energy on stage, but reading lines while needing to stay still with my face pressed up against a microphone and unable to emote is a new expierence for me. My Delta video (which I recorded while editing this one) came out much more emotive because I literally picked up the mic and walked around my room as if I was telling a joke on stage, so maybe I'll try doing that for my next script.

One suggestion though, when there's audio of you talking in the playthrough at the same time as there's narration audio, having two of you talking at the same time gets a little hard to follow, even though the playthrough audio is quieter. You can get a furnace from the Blacksmiths bundle, and there are other ways to get bars from monster drops.

One suggestion though, when there's audio of you talking in the playthrough at the same time as there's narration audio, having two of you talking at the same time gets a little hard to follow, even though the playthrough audio is quieter. Just wanted to let you know, and it's still an amazing video overall!

I think the algorithm recommended this to me after RTs stardew playthrough because he too hates clint. Anyway nice vid. And agreed fishing is tedious but probably the most broken money maker early game.
