- Two Suzuki Kingquad 700 4x4 Sport/Utility ATV's, a Honda 600 Sport ATV and a Polaris 800 Utility ATV got underway at Mineral Creek staging area off of 550 the million dollar highway 3.8 Miles south of Ouray. This will give you access to CR20, the Alpine Loop, Engineer Pass, Palmetto Gulch, Redcloud Gulch, Schafer Gulch, Lee Smelter Gulch, Copper Gulch, Owl Gulch, Treasure Falls, Alpine Gulch, paralleling Henson Creek Road to first and Park St in Lake City Staging area and lunch in Lake City.
It`s nice to see that those trails are shared by both 4x4`s and atv`s. If you guys ever get over to the east coast you try out the Hatfield McCoy trail system in West Virginia. They have every type of trail you can think of. We truck our atv`s there every May, 17 hr drive but it`s well worth it.
instablaster.
Colorado, yet another place I’d love to ride.
Man I really need to move to CO... I lust over that place every time I see or read something involving Colorado. That was a sweet trail btw.
A colo native and will never leave its my dream state lucky im born and raised.
The MOST fun you can have at 5 mph.
Iseekknowledge I drive at 120
Hc 437 ok
Este video es de los que mejor me parece, le digo, excelente vuelta, felicidades
Nice Ride! I spent 3 days on a dirt bike riding the Ouray, Silverton and Telluride area...absolutely spectacular riding up there!
hey on a pure dirt bike? Just wondering if you can get gas along the way and if a non street legal wr250f could not get in trouble with laws. Some trails are just short 5 - 10 miles and the to go to the next trail you have to be street legal? I am planning on a trip with a RZR 800 s and the wr250F I plan on extra fuel on the polaris but just wanted your thoughts?
Nice way to get into the bush and do some back country camping. Nice vid!
Love that very nice trail, l like to take a ride on that trail some day with my 700 polaris.
AWESOME! I know where I want to go next. Thanks for the video!
It's all good. We made it around them without issue. This was not a battle worth fighting so i chose to keep calm and not let it ruin the trip. We had a great time!
Pass those suvs like your a scooter in Italy!! Great video.
This looks like an amazing place to ride! I really need to get out to CO some time.
Colorado is a very beautiful place.
Man o man i feel your pain riding behind jeeps, fjs, hummers etc... There is really no place to pass on that road. We went in 2014 with our buggies(VW) and went faster them guys..I bet you still have nightmares about being behind them. lol, Thanx fer sharing
PS i watched your video at 2 times the speed of normal and was still slow
I have been to lake city when I was camping with my dad. It is a really great town and you can rent ATVs there.
What a trail!
Beautiful looking trails!. id love to do some higher altitude running someday. I subscribed.
Everybody in this area runs hikes bikes at high altitude crested butte is amazing for any person who loves the outdoors you'll never get bored on a trip her thats for sure if you can, stay for at least 4 or 5 days...hope you make it soon!
Man that is a Fun Trail to Ride! Gotta hate the traffic snags Tho.. Thanks for Vid Bro!!
Nothing wrong with going slow enjoy the scenery
As of today date most of these trails are still snowed in even though less than 100 miles away is 100*+ temps
trails dont look that rough, i might take my mini 110cc atv out there this summer!
This video did not show anything really “technical”. Depending on your size, a 110cc might not have enough power, especially if it normally aspirated (has carburetor). Remember, you are operating at or above 12,000 ft in some places.
We rode there with a friend on a 250cc ATV, and we had to pull him up some of the steeper slopes.
Have fun! It is beautiful country.
nice ride wish I could ride up there im from NC waster so
lots of biking trial no ATV dame
Wow ! What took you guys so long ? To pass .
awesome i like riding
Some places there where you would certainly not want to drive off! Is this an old rail bed or something?
No Right Turn Next 30 Miles
I assume that any type of vehicle is allowed on this trail but it looks like the trail being so narrow was what was slowing the full sized vehicles down. The basically stock atvs were easily conquering this terrain, Im sure at certain points it got pretty sketchy for the suvs.
The loop is supposed to be about 65 miles but those are efi quads they may have been able to do it one tank
wow! what a trail! nice
this is the ideal time for your steering to lock up
Great video and trails. What kind of camera r u using?
That is one scary trail. I'd love to ride it though.
cool trails i only have forest trails where i live
THIS is the most radical trail i've ever seen ...one little mistake or accidental hit on the throttle & it's all over. Too hairy for me & my Bronco.
I'm moving to Colorado and like wow!!!! I ride on the beach but I guess its mountains now.
Is it always a traffic Jam like that?
exatly what part of colorado is it....
Damn when a SUV gets in front of me going 5 mph
I blow past them on my can am race bike at around 60 hahaha
huge cliff!
no as long as you don't turn too fast you won't flip and ur all good
nothing like a good ol fashion traffic jam
hey guys, is Colorado an ATV friendly state? I am actually moving to CO in June and was wondering if anyone on here ATVs often?
will c colorado is very ATC friendly. Some great trails up in Salida. Hope you enjoy yourself!
***** i am actually not far from conifer mountain! well, when I move in June. Are you part of an atv club?
Colorado Supercars thanks! salida is close to me as well! ha ha I am like at the center of everything. do you ATV there? would it be cool if I tagged along once I get settled down and buy an atv?
***** Awesome! I am trying to join some atv club, but i have to wait to get there. Would it be cool if I give you my email so I can tag along, if you guys are ok with it? Ill be moving in June, so still some time away; but once I get there and buy one
Turn the video speed up so it don’t look so slow
colorado the best state the is for atv ????? in my opinion
Nice video ! Leave it to some hippies in VW's to hog the trail!
is your'e helmet thor?
i'm moving back to colorado in a month or so. I've got a raptor 660 and i'll be looking for people to ride w/
o man i wanna go
I really hate the "GoPro" clicking noise....
That suv group should of let the jeep go first since its the only one that is actually set up for the trails
traffic jam on the mountain
If your Mini is a Chinese it will not handle the incline of anything better than an 8 X and will Stall out on you ALL of the time! The carbs just do not handle it well. I wonderedhow much gas ALL of those Quads used doing a fill Alpine Loop? Ever been to Hart/Heart lake above Timberline up there too? FUN FUN!@
GoPro Hero HD
but nice trails
Looks like fun but damn you guys ride slow
hey next time put the cam in a better place
Panic attack
679cc
John Philbin When do you think you ever need more than 500cc?
Art Smith racing
lol
stupid car its going so slow..... probably because it doesn't want to fall off the cliff
