I do have the entire playthrough in the description uncut - you can also use the timer above my cam to see when exactly this happened in the playthrough. Hope that helps! :)
That is actually the better way to do it, yes! Selecting all navies and pressing G uses a pretty bad pathing AI which can waste time and fuel... With your tech the navy will first group up and then you can press g, so that pathing will not be an issue.
