Massive thank you to Tod and to Carl for this detailed discourse on the theme's from Carl's new book. In particular, I found this really helpful in placing the woke and critical theory 'ideologs' in a context that allows me to firstly understand something of where they are coming from and secondly helping me see what a Christian response looks like. Its not been an easy listen. (Done several rewinds😊) but it's very Illuminating and helpful. BTW, I love Word on Fire! I pray for it's ministry regularly! PD from UK... In

This was an excellent discussion. It put into words things I have perceived but couldn’t articulate myself. I think I need to listen to this again. Thank you both!

Sorry about that comment. I don't know why being called a fan bothered me. Anyway I've struggled through part 1 and 2 and am about to start part 3. I don't think I could pass a test on it but I think it's helpful and I am taking notes. So thank you.

Why do Bishop Barron's daily readings emails no longer reference/link the USCCB readings? This appears to have changed with the new format in 2025. This is confusing when the wording of the readings do not match. Thanks!

When I was criticised recently by a colleague for using the alleged racist term ' Pakistani grooming gangs' it wasn't because the it is factually incorrect but because it was politically in correct.
