Well, I loved the painted flowers. I'm in awe that you can just pick up a paintbrush and with a few highly talented dabs paint something that adds so much to your page. It's a beautiful page and I loved the video. Thank you for sharing it . x
We are told to not envy others, Meg, but I really do envy your talent with painting and collage. The pages were so pretty when you finished them! Blessings from Betty in Ohio.
This was a great video Meg! I enjoy watching you create and listening to your process. Don't be afraid to show the things that you don't care for, it helps all of us!
Love your freestyle creativity. Thank you for this video. LOVE the flowers. Was eating dessert while watching, hoping for some inspiration. I just started a junk journal for a friend who sews, cooks, and used to ride motorcycles. I'm going to try the crinkled paper effect with a sewing pattern tissue for the sewing sig, and I think I'll try adding colors to a page as background for a motorcycle image (or something). Wish I had the talent for the flowers, but thats why they make stickers and magazine pages, right? Looking forward to watching you create again.
You got me addict to accordeon journals. My commonplace book, my fauxbonichi, my collage journals, all of them are made accordeon style. I Love to put the pages together and how flat they can be while working on their pages.
I have been relaxing at my favorite coffee shop, and working on making embellishments to use sometime in the future! Love your flowers! Aren't we our worst critics? LOL!
You were inspiring me when I went through some opshops yesterday. Looking through botanical, gardening books. Ended up buying The Really Useful Home book from 1996. Beautiful collage bits to use. 😁
I was relaxing and being inspired to get my supplies while watching this! I found out I am going to be a first time auntie and I am thinking of making a baby journal for my sister-in-law.
I enjoyed your whole process and I think your layout turned out just how it should have! A cute little tag in the tea package would finish it off perfectly👌🏼
I love that spread, Meg! Thanks for sharing! I'm finishing up a "week in the life" journal project today, and stenciling some designs and leaves around the edges of the "day" pages. Writing is pretty much done, and now time to glue in some pictures and decorate.
Meg: it turned out really nice. I was just watching you create and enjoyed it. You did good. I love the flower and the lettering. Great connection for the two pages. Carol from California
I was filling up empty journal pages with collage bits. just randomly sticking stuff down. thanks for sharing your thought process and working through your painting ❤ most TH-camrs will just cut and paste pretending it never happened. thanks for being honest
Hi Meg. Thanks for the video. I noticed that you use a prit stick to stick down your papers. I have struggled using a prit stick and purchased some matt medium because I've seen others use it to stick collage down. But I dont find its sticking too well and just makes the paper very wet. Any thoughts or tips please and thank you xx
I'm sure you've heard the phrase "One man's trash is another man's treasure. I would be thrilled if I could paint like you do, but I totally understand not being happy with something we've created and wanting to start over or cover up the area. There is a book titled "The Beautiful Oops" and it was written for children to show them how to turn an art "mistake: into a "beautiful oops." Your process and work are fascinating.
The flowers have a dual quality of fragility and strength. So glad you let them be a part of the page.

I love this page Meg. I think we've all done this and it's lovely to watch how you turned it around to make such a pretty cohesive page x
These flowers are absolutely gorgeous!

It turned out so njce! I'm disliking more than I'm liking of my own pages right now, but I'm persisting! Thanks for showing your authenticity.
So glad you decided to push through. This turned out lovely ❣️

You mentioned a name at the beginning, but didn't put her name in the description box. Kayley Grey? I love your pages, and this one is gorgeous tfs x

Your video is really glitchy
Thanks for the feedback! Can I ask what issues you’re having so I can see if it’s something I can fix? ☺️
