John and Demarcus I hope yall truly know the impact you had on Kentucky man. This 100 comes from the heart. It was absolutely perfect timing and was my sophomore year at UK. Yall gave us hope again, and it was the funnest time of my life. I don't care that you didnt bring it all home, between John, Boogie, Bled, Ppat ranks right up there as my favorite team ever at UK not just because of the results on the court, but what you did for the school and state that I love. As a native of Kentucky and the biggest Kentucky fan ever… I loved watching Wall And Cousins!!! They were the best ever the whole class was amazing pretty much the whole starting 5 was in the first round draft pick with John being number one!!! Probably the best team in the NCAA that never won the championship..
These two would still be in the NBA today, dominating and being even better than they once were, especially Demarcus Cousins, hadn’t their careers never gotten ruined by injuries.
Sad that a 1-3-1 zone and a bad shooting night kicked these guys out of the NCAA tournament. Great gamble by Huggins but man was this team fun to watch.
As a Wizards fan I prayed every offseason that we would get Boogie somehow 😭 2 of my favourite all time seeing their careers get derailed by injuries sucked
CJ was wrong about all five "starters" in the first round. I might be wrong, but Darius Miller was a starter and played two more years. Daniel Orton not only didn't start, but really didn't play that much since he was backing up Boogie.
