There aren’t even 24 available men in my area that are in my age range. I’ve been online dating for almost twelve years after I became a widow at the age of 52. I have tried every dating site out there, joined a senior center and the YMCA. I’ve taken my dog to dog parks. I’m very outgoing, so whenever I start up a conversation with someone, I quite often ask if they know any available men in my age range. I do this when I go to drive thru restaurants and banks, too! Long distance dating doesn’t work for me since I’m looking for a long-term relationship and don’t want to relocate due to having eight grandchildren near me. I don’t like being alone, and this is getting very discouraging and depressing. Having a male companion is very important to me, especially since I’m retired. I’m at a loss.😢
I’m sorry to hear that what you are not enjoying living alone, but if you are not open to long distance romances (which could always change), any of the 24 men you’ve met and dated in the last 12 years -and are not willing to move to a new area with a larger population there really isn’t much leeway here, right?
@@CoffeewithCarey I’ve actually relocated twice for two different men over the past ten years. When the relationships didn’t work out, I moved back home. I figure twice is enough. A guy would need to be willing to relocate to be with me. So far, none of them have wanted to.🤷🏻♀️
The problem is they have an avoidant attachment style - the ones who have long lists of non negotiable and reject everyone. I used to be this person! But I healed my attachment style
But what does that really mean when beauty is in the eye of the beholder you thought they were super handsome kind of funny when you think about how different people are attracted to different things but yeah looks are not everything

I think it all comes down to chemistry. Hate to say it but everything else is an excuse unless it's so off the wall opposite and if your that good, that would not happen. It's chemistry. One person didn't find the other that great. Or, they want to see all your options and then make a choice because matchmakers can be VERY expensive. People may also treat the other poorly too just because they weren't attracted. I don't know. My plan is to just be me and pray a match will appear. I believe it's that cut and dry. It's sad.
