The gap by which the black car was loosing was too much. There will be performance drop but it won't be this much. I own a tuned car myself and I know how much fuel quality and type effects performance.

You must see what the brand is offering in your country as well(substandard build quality). The thing to notice is that Verna’s kerb weight is 1160kg for the dct version also has 160bhp and 253nm torque while the virtus is 1305kg and has 148bhp and 250nm torque . That’s because Germans always underreport the power figures and Koreans always over report it . The same was true for old rapid 1.6 and verna 1.6 also . Having 105hp in rapid and 126hp in verna you would think the verna would walk away , but the opposite happens that the rapid walks away while being heavier !
dude the kerb weight that you saw was of Verna 1.0 DCT not Verna 1.5 DCT. Verna 1.5DCT has a kerb weight of 1277kg and according to some sites the kerb weight of virtus gt is 1275kg. But according to registration numbers and with RC's weight virtus is 27kgs heavier. Also, on proper N car hyundai underreports the performance figures :)
Virtus GT in brochure says 1305kg . I might be wrong about verna but not about virtus cause I’ve seen it in hand . Either way still doesn’t explain the fact that it’s 12 bhp more and lighter . Also you don’t have a proper n line car here . The i20 n line gets beat by the polo gt in any drag race and potential . Germans always underreport their power outputs . I was also watching sone podcasts which said the power figures suggested by Germans are mostly at crank.not to mention the drop in power post 1 lakh km for Hyundai cars , reason is simple as explained by sunderdeep sir that Germans use titanium heads in their pistons which age farrr better than what hyundai uses . Jaise Tata ne JLR khareed lia, Bajaj ne KTM ka max share khareed lia, it doesn't mean ki ek choti car bnane wala brand ekdm se premium ho jaega.
