The second best player in his home country of Guatemala is a player and shiny Beats him very convincingly also funny enough shiny. Mark has a lot experience against this particular player. He faced in bracket I was very surprised when I found this out through the commentary he was more than prepared

I feel like Shinymark vs Sonix are such good sets since both their characters are on the same level of mobility and speed. It doesn't matter they are on-stage, off-stage, above stage, or below stage, Pikachu and Sonic can scrap with one another. And of course, both these players are so good that every second is a show to watch.

He's top 5 bro. I'm done with the smooth brain "bUt SDI" bro pika DGAF. If there's no dragdown reset, you're getting ledgetrapped or edge guarded by arguably the best offstage character. You get to 80% or death all the same. He can kill you perfectly fine. It doesn't matter if he doesn't have a random move that kills you at 60%. He has confirms off the wazoo and will kill you offstage. His neutral is one of the best. Disadvantage one of the best. There is no weakness. The worst thing about him is his losing MUs, which shinymark put a clinic on his worst. Posterized Maister and Gackt. Pika is a slightly worse Sonic and is top 5 in the game.
He's for sure top 3. People act like this with any character that's popping off or has fallen off. Whenever a character doesn't have good representation, people act like it's cause the character isn't that good. When a player has a hot streak with a mediocre character, suddenly that character is in top 10 discussions. Joker, Pikachu, Sora, Peach, Corrin, G&W, Roy, etc have all had one or the other happen.
This is the first time both of these characters look cool in a set & that’s cause they both can play the same game . They’re essentially both battling for advantage state to steam roll the other . Congrats to Shiny

Sonix knows that if they keep talking smack about all his second places they're only fueling the fire. 2nd is still a lot better than most players can get that consistently. It's only a matter of time at this point. He still took a set off of Shinymark and it was last stock game 5 for the loss so it's not like he got outplayed. He's still the one to beat as always.

I know people hate fighting Pikachu, but I actually find him fun to watch (ESAM was a great ambassador for the character), and infinitely preferable to Sonix.

This is a MU with 2 pilots of charcters with kist that can show you how crazy Smash really is. As long as it took it was super fast paced and honestly i dont know how I can watch another match after this. Under stage fights and chases. Its going to be hard to top this match or MU with max piloting from other characters.
This set got it all: 0-deaths, a three stock, crazy off stage plays. There where three time outs this time around, yeah, but even those did hit different. It's not like watching some poor low tier getting camped until the end of the day; Pikachu is on par with Sonic in terms of mobility and offense, so I wasn't feeling "frustration" this time. More than everything else, they putted me at the back of my sit!
Shinymark/Pika is the first player I’ve seen that can FORCE a hype match out of Sonix. He’s fast enough to both chase Sonic down and to threaten timeout himself.
Normally it's a curse to win the pre-local/pre-tourney before an event but Shinymark took destiny into his own hands and said, "No. I need to win EVERYTHING."
Pikachu Vs Sonic doesn't seem so steep of an MU when you look at this. Then again, it could be the fact that it's Shinymark and they know each other well.
One of the hypest and craziest grand finals, both of these guys won, that was incredible to see their skill and where they are at, amazing! Congrats to Shineymark and to Sonix!

Sonix knows that if they keep talking smack about all his second places they're only fueling the fire. 2nd is still a lot better than most players can get that consistently. It's only a matter of time at this point. He still took a set off of Shinymark and it was last stock game 5 for the loss so it's not like he got outplayed. He's still the one to beat as always.

The characters might not be interesting, but the player storyline was really exciting, sonix having only gotten second at tournaments this year and shinymark having a even record vs him made it exciting at least for me. If your not interested that’s fine, this place isn’t for you.

For a long time Pikachu was considered to be the best in the game, but no one was able to back that it up. His placement was solely based on theory. Pikachu is a very hard character to pick up and master unlike other top tiers like Steve, g&w, snake, rob etc.
Besides Shiny, who else is playing Pikachu at his level? The only major win pikachu ever got was back in 2019 when Esam won Glitch.

El mejor set global (los 3 del torneo) entre los dos mejores jugadores de Smash no japoneses (con respeto a Gluttony). Pero este jugador de Pikachu tiene un nivel sobre humano que la élite de smash no puede igualarlo. Sonix es un diablo para haber hecho lo que ha hecho. This is a MU with 2 pilots of charcters with kist that can show you how crazy Smash really is. As long as it took it was super fast paced and honestly i dont know how I can watch another match after this. Under stage fights and chases. Its going to be hard to top this match or MU with max piloting from other characters.
For a sonix set going to timeout multiple times this was insanely entertaining to watch, had me at the edge of my chair everytime
This set got it all: 0-deaths, a three stock, crazy off stage plays. There where three time outs this time around, yeah, but even those did hit different. It's not like watching some poor low tier getting camped until the end of the day; Pikachu is on par with Sonic in terms of mobility and offense, so I wasn't feeling "frustration" this time. More than everything else, they putted me at the back of my sit!

Shinymark/Pika is the first player I’ve seen that can FORCE a hype match out of Sonix. He’s fast enough to both chase Sonic down and to threaten timeout himself.
