I used to hike and camp on the Rimrock Morrison trail. One time I camped just below the overlook. We could hear the cars on the road to the overlook. Thanks for the nice vid!
Another great place to paddle. The reservoir has many great places to camp. I have also done the Allegheny River below the dam, there are several islands to camp on: th-cam.com/video/zdExAZN5pis/w-d-xo.html
Beautiful fall foliage all around...love the colours of the leaf litter on the ground...I don't think you were kidding about it being the best views...gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing....
FYI, Jake's Rocks, on the other side of the bay, is very similar, also has several overlooks towards the water, is spread out much more than Rim Rock (and it also has a whole bunch of recently created mountain bike trails). And below those rocks (on Rt. 59), it is worth visiting the Bent Run waterfalls.
@@OutsideChronicles No prob. Another very popular rock city hike in the ANF is Minister Creek. And another waterfall (not many down here like up in NY) is Hector's Falls. PA gets better in the north-central part... more wild, remote, rugged, and the wild elk.
@@silentlou4375 Minister Creek is on my list, as is the West Rim. I may also get an opportunity to paddle Pine Creek. Some rugged country a little closer than ADK for me.
Crazy that this is basically my back yard I grew up around this area and qm so greatful that I did because it taught me to respect and love nature
ANF amazes and surprises me every time I visit. See you outside!

Thanks for watching. I checked out the Morrison Campground after this hike. I hope to kayak camp there. Such a cool area.
Love that trail! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! I can't wait to explore some of the other trails down there. Definitely want to hike more and paddle the reservoir.
Those Rock cracks are really cool 👍👍 nice fall colours
Great colors this year, much more vibrant in the Adirondacks. Thanks for watching!
I have seriously been missing out. I've been to the reservoir once. The more I watch your channel the more I want to get into hiking.

@@OutsideChronicles love the stretch below the dam. I've paddled the reservoir but haven't camped on it.
@@BackcountryPaddler I checked out Morrison Campground after I hiked Rimrock. It is very nice, with sites right on the water.
@@OutsideChronicles nice! I passed Hooks Brook, it was so crowded but it was summer.

Thank you for the comment and watching my video. I really enjoyed this hike. I felt like a kid again climbing the rocks.

That is another place I need to check out. My buddy has been talking it up for mountain biking. Thanks for the tip on the waterfall.

The mountain biking trails there are much better than Ellicottville
Can fat people fit? Asking for myself and being serious 😊
I do not even know how to answer this question. The narrow areas are optional. You can get a great view coming down from the upper lot.
