I once lived i n Westmorland on Center street by the Catholic church. My grandparents had a dairy farm on the intersection of Baughman and Martin Rds. in the 1930s. My father served on the town council and worked out at the Salton Sea and we moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1961 when the base was closed down. I knew the owners of the Ashurst Honey Farms now under the name Avery. I remember well the town hall plaza when it originally had an adobe wall around it.
