no letting mismatch peak hedo turkoglu leave was the worst thing..they would of gone into the 2009-2010 season with a healthy pg jameer nelson who was an all star in 09 pre injury and had he been healthy they may have easily won the 09 title, prime peak dpoy rebound king 22 ppg center dwight howard, a still heavy reliable prime sniper from 3 in pf rashard lewis, a potential all star caliber triple threat sf in hedo and all that would of been still there right after they had already added still in his prime vince carter at sg with sniper potential 6th man of the year ryan anderson using only courtney lee tony battie and rafer alston..the team just fit so well around dwight versatile and could stretch it and dribble pass and defend in stans system..i mean they beat down the 66 win cavs without jameer in game 6 and easily could of swept them if not for a lebron james game winner.....again without their 2nd all star starting pg that they needed so badly they traded for alston the year before at the all star break when he got hurt..also giving away keith bogans for tyrone lue that season was a disgrace...but I digress ...but instead of keep their core intact while adding back nelson and a new star in carter they traded hedo to toronto for cash and added bums like brandon bass matt barnes and jason williams to fill the void his contract would of taken cause they felt they needed depth and not stars and didn't want to pay him max type money...smdh..that team would of won it all with guys like ryan anderson jj redick marcin gortat michael peitrus and anthony johnson or potentially still affordable jason williams who was still capable off the bench as backups and who knows they may have been able to add another role player to help as well but that team is good enough to win it all in 2010 ...that starting 6 is insane...they basically gave away potential all star hedo for barnes and bass..smdh...that magic team in 09-10 without hedo won 59 games with lewis missing 10 games and nelson missing 17....imagine how much they win if healthy with hedo carter nelson lewis and dwight and ryan...smdh

They picked up the players with the most potential out of the past two draft classes (Isaac and bamba) they are building a long athletic defensive identity and by also doing so they picked up one of the most underrated coaches in the league Steve Clifford. They pushing the playoffs this year and the future is bright all we needed was a new management change

I know people like the clown the Magic because they massively fucked up their potential core of Vucevic, Oladipo, Harris and I think most of that is deserved. REALISTIC expectations is something this team has struggled with, but trading Ibaka for Ross and shedding Biyambo and Green was probably a turning point. Hopefully they've learned from their mistakes. Rebuilds take time! Being patient is key. I could see them contending in 5 to 7 years assuming they don't give up on their young guys too early.

I clown the magic for potentially giving away the 2010 nba title to the lakers by trading away hedo turkoglu for cash instead of keep him lewis nelson howard together right after trading for vince carter and ryan anderson without giving away anything of value for them just alston and lee...like why didn't they just go into the 2009-2010 season with hedo lewis howard nelson carter ryan gortat jj redick pietrus jason williams anthony johnson and play ball?...that's a legit title squad with 5 all star caliber starters in 2010 on a team that went to back to back east finals without carter or nelson or hedo together...and won back to back 60 games...they instead chose to not pay hedo what he wanted which was only a few more million like 5-8 then orlando wanted to pay by the way in total like 2 per year cough a lot like the james harden scenario in 2012 thus forcing him to demand a trade before he left for nothing as a free agent and they chose to instead pay matt barnes and brandon bass who they thought could replace him for 1 year deals?....especially after losing the 09 title to the same lakers and then giving away their franchise player to them just 2 years later after already losing shaq to them...its just funny how the magic are in a way responsible for all 5 of kobes titles...they really gave away the 10 title imo..

Great video! I'm a Magic fan but I have questioned all the trades and acquisitions mentioned on the video as well. They have no patience and horrible player development. At this point the magic are screwed... Gordon isnt going to develop as much as isaac and bamba, and they have vucevic and Fournier. The problem is that the magic won't improve overall since vucevic and Fournier will eventually decline while Bamba and issac develop. It's like heating up a kettle, but placing a fan to cool it down. If you want to boil a kettle, you want to heat it up only. Basically, they either need to trade Vucevic or Fournier for young prospects, or they need to trade bamba and issac for a better point guard. A third option would be to trade Gordon, but his timing with issac and bamba as well as Vucevic is good, so trading him is unideal until he hits his prime. Otherwise, they may stay in the middle of the pact, then slowly fall off. This is the worst combination as the Magic may have to give up big contracts just to make sure their players stay. With such bas contracts, it would be more difficult to trade them and tank with enough picks/prospects to warrant a tank. Thus forcing them to overpay medicore players in free agency. This sounds just like Charlotte, but it hasn't erupted yet. Fultz isnt a great solution (it's just a bandaid) because he could develop well, but they would be left with a declining vucevic and fournier. In the absolute best case scenario without making a decision, the magic could be a dark horse contender for 1-2 years max, assuming NO injuries...

The Orlando Magic reminds me of the buffoonery which the Toronto Maple Leafs went through during the '80s.
Time and again young players were rushed into the lineup and expected to produce immediate results. If they didn't produce right away, they were traded. By this time, they already had several years of experience and could contribute with their new teams. In short, they were a farm team for the rest of the league.
Its a shame to see what they're going through right now.

The kernel of this is that Russ is not as bad of a teammate as people think.
NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU HATE RUSS YOU GOTTA RESPECT AND ADMIRE HIS GREATNESS. DONT HATE ON GREATNESS AT THE MOMENT
The man averaged a freakin' TRIPLE DOUBLE for BACK TO BACK years and no matter how he accomplished it you gotta respect him. In my opinion Oscar's triple double season doesn't count bc back then there were like 20-30 more possessions, faster pace and the level of competition was too low. Russ would have averaged like 35-13-13 in that era for MULTIPLE seasons

Hate to say it but if you think the difference between Peyton and Saric is minimal you need to watch more tape. Elfred is not only extremely inconsistent with his performance but when he does score a lot it's on awful efficiency. He also turns the ball over way more than Dario. All in all, one is good and the other isnt
