EXO’s networth comes from the members individually like many of them are brand ambassadors and have been doing different things since 2013 they have accumulated all of the money through their group and solo activities. Some of the EXO members are Ceo’s and own brands like Baekhyun and Lay. Lay himself is still an exo member and people forget that he is super wealthy he owns his agency and has over 30 brand deals just google em. He has topped the most richest Chinese celeb list in the top ten for consistently over the years. Sehun and Chanyeol own buildings and Sehun has stakes in A gaming team. So they do different things also. Almost all of them act and do musicals so that generates money. And this all is only as solos. As a group they have sold a lot of albums and merch they have toured a lot over the years and they have sub units that sell very well and also those sub units also tour. And they have all except Sehun and Chanyeol solo debuts. Especially Lay who has accumulated 12 million sales on his solo albums alone. So people forget until recently BTS only did group promotions and deals. EXO have been popular since 2013 and have still stayed quite popular and relevant so it is believable that they have a net worth of 1b
According to who? This vid should have shown you how incorrect those estimates are. Agencies don't only make money - they also cost a lot. That and numbers often are inflated/ I have no idea where you get your numbers from. Following BTS sales numbers are easier: albums, merch, stadium tours etc. - they have less brand deals - but my guess they are higher as they often are global. Exo's numbers are nowhere near BTS so I doubt they made more money than them - Exo may have invested better but that I don't know. And with China's newer laws... But we also have to consider that all members of EXO have their own careers outside music that provide them lucrative earnings more that what they get from the music they make. They are actors, global brand ambassadors of luxury brands, they own buildings, they basically have their own businesses. Lay alone is a known ent. CEO in China and has his own group of companies. The former member Tao is LITERALLY A BILLIONAIRE. and EXO is huge in China as well, and that alone give them millions on the bank. A BTS fact: Bang PD gave each member 68,000+ share of Hybe stock. I don't recall the exact amount but take the current stock price which has sky rocketed recently, one can estimate how much they are worth.

I would be curious to know your ballpark estimate as well. I truly believe it is a lot higher than the 20-25 million that we keep seeing shared in print. If they received stock valued at 10-15million at the time of IPO, that means they would only be worth around 10 million each. That figure is ridiculous based on their years in the industry and all the items you discussed and the salary they receive. RM did an interview with rolling stone 2/3 years ago and it was revealed they receive a base salary of 8 million a year. They have been making money, we know at least since 2016, when Hobi bought his first property. I personally think they should be worth at least double what is being told. Especially, if they are paying cash for real estate.

Yes. They get tax breaks for local charitable donation. They pay taxes in the US for the work they render in the US. So they can get tax breaks in the US for charitable donations in the US. Am not sure if the details though. I just know South Korea has a tax treaty with the US
I know of EXO, but nothing about them. If entertainers have good investment counseling, they can make wise choices and have continued financial success and much growth beyond their career high point. What I find interesting is that compared to many famous celebrities in the US, the BTS men actually seem to have quite modest lifestyles beyond the necessities for privacy and security. They are always dressed nicely which is an expectation. Unofficial sites report that each member has 1 or 2 vehicles, some luxury but most look fairly modest higher end practical. I frequently will see a US celebrity lives in a 20- 40 million dollar plus, 30,000 sq ft mansion (or more) and often have multiple homes. The garage is filled with many, many luxury vehicles and so on. I guess that's the expectation in Los Angeles. It's their money and their spending does feed the economy. Just an observation.

Their valuation was also way off. However, someone said that they included the personal assets of each member like two have their own businesses or something. one inherited billions from his father. But the numbers are barely there so I cannot comment. I mean, maybe they are right but with no numbers, there's nothing to look at. But maybe you are looking at other articles? @@ruthfischer7615 Lay owns his own entertainment company separate from SM. He is now training new idols and one of them was on Boys Planet. He also produce and writes all of his songs which is now under his own company so the earnings from those are mostly his. Chanyeol also produces and writes all of the Exo-SC albums under his own studio so a good chunk of that earning goes to him. Sehun also has writing credits on same albums. Suho, Chen, and D.O. are confirmed with writing credits on some songs on their individual albums. Chen, Lay, and Chanyeol also has writing credits on many EXO songs. Only ones I'm not sure of with writing credits are Baekhyun, Xiumin and Kai. Also Lay has sponsorships of over 30 brands (and counting, there seems to be a new brand announced every couple of months) and along with his multiple movies and dramas I'm sure he earns even more from those. Kai is probably second with a long list of brand sponsorships but the each of the members also have multiple brand deals, not to mention most of them own properties and businesses and also starred in multiple movies, tv shows and musicals so it's really not far fetched to believe that they earn millions. Also, since they have renewed their contract, they probably negotiated a bigger cut on their earnings with the leverage of being the biggest moneymakers in SM.

EXO’s networth comes from the members individually like many of them are brand ambassadors and have been doing different things since 2013 they have accumulated all of the money through their group and solo activities. Some of the EXO members are Ceo’s and own brands like Baekhyun and Lay. Lay himself is still an exo member and people forget that he is super wealthy he owns his agency and has over 30 brand deals just google em. He has topped the most richest Chinese celeb list in the top ten for consistently over the years. Sehun and Chanyeol own buildings and Sehun has stakes in A gaming team. So they do different things also. Almost all of them act and do musicals so that generates money. And this all is only as solos. As a group they have sold a lot of albums and merch they have toured a lot over the years and they have sub units that sell very well and also those sub units also tour. And they have all except Sehun and Chanyeol solo debuts. Especially Lay who has accumulated 12 million sales on his solo albums alone. So people forget until recently BTS only did group promotions and deals. EXO have been popular since 2013 and have still stayed quite popular and relevant so it is believable that they have a net worth of 1b

Exo's numbers are nowhere near BTS so I doubt they made more money than them - Exo may have invested better but that I don't know.

Lay alone has done so much that you can just visit any sites and see everything he has done in China since 2016-. It might seem unbelievable coz EXO is not promoted outside Asia, the 1B has not been verified, and SM has not reacted to that and neither did they ask for it to be reomved. But we also have to consider that all members of EXO have their own careers outside music that provide them lucrative earnings more that what they get from the music they make. They are actors, global brand ambassadors of luxury brands, they own buildings, they basically have their own businesses. Lay alone is a known ent. CEO in China and has his own group of companies. The former member Tao is LITERALLY A BILLIONAIRE. and EXO is huge in China as well, and that alone give them millions on the bank. Key of Shinee even mentioned that SM building was basically built from EXO's earnings.

A BTS fact: Bang PD gave each member 68,000+ share of Hybe stock. I don't recall the exact amount but take the current stock price which has sky rocketed recently, one can estimate how much they are worth.

I would be curious to know your ballpark estimate as well. I truly believe it is a lot higher than the 20-25 million that we keep seeing shared in print. If they received stock valued at 10-15million at the time of IPO, that means they would only be worth around 10 million each. That figure is ridiculous based on their years in the industry and all the items you discussed and the salary they receive. RM did an interview with rolling stone 2/3 years ago and it was revealed they receive a base salary of 8 million a year. They have been making money, we know at least since 2016, when Hobi bought his first property. I personally think they should be worth at least double what is being told. Especially, if they are paying cash for real estate.

Especially since you know that SM Ent. is probably the company that pays their artist the smallest percentage. There is at least one vid out there that claims to know what kind of percentage the artist gets and what the label.
Mind you that SM numbers may get back to the members of TVXQ sueing - which was a while ago.

Yes. They get tax breaks for local charitable donation. They pay taxes in the US for the work they render in the US. So they can get tax breaks in the US for charitable donations in the US. Am not sure if the details though. I just know South Korea has a tax treaty with the US
I know of EXO, but nothing about them. If entertainers have good investment counseling, they can make wise choices and have continued financial success and much growth beyond their career high point.
What I find interesting is that compared to many famous celebrities in the US, the BTS men actually seem to have quite modest lifestyles beyond the necessities for privacy and security. They are always dressed nicely which is an expectation. Unofficial sites report that each member has 1 or 2 vehicles, some luxury but most look fairly modest higher end practical.
I frequently will see a US celebrity lives in a 20- 40 million dollar plus, 30,000 sq ft mansion (or more) and often have multiple homes. The garage is filled with many, many luxury vehicles and so on. I guess that's the expectation in Los Angeles. It's their money and their spending does feed the economy. Just an observation.

He also produce and writes all of his songs which is now under his own company so the earnings from those are mostly his. Chanyeol also produces and writes all of the Exo-SC albums under his own studio so a good chunk of that earning goes to him. Sehun also has writing credits on same albums. Suho, Chen, and D.O. are confirmed with writing credits on some songs on their individual albums. Chen, Lay, and Chanyeol also has writing credits on many EXO songs. Only ones I'm not sure of with writing credits are Baekhyun, Xiumin and Kai. Also Lay has sponsorships of over 30 brands (and counting, there seems to be a new brand announced every couple of months) and along with his multiple movies and dramas I'm sure he earns even more from those. Kai is probably second with a long list of brand sponsorships but the each of the members also have multiple brand deals, not to mention most of them own properties and businesses and also starred in multiple movies, tv shows and musicals so it's really not far fetched to believe that they earn millions. Also, since they have renewed their contract, they probably negotiated a bigger cut on their earnings with the leverage of being the biggest moneymakers in SM.
