Someone said "there's 2 phases of a person's life. Before Electric Callboy and After Electric Callboy" and I agree. Have to do a scientific study on what kind of serotonin the Germans manage to release in people with their combination of music & videos, all parts of the brain just light up with a special kind of exhilarating joy 😆🤘
Haha, We totally get what you mean! Electric Callboy’s mix of wild energy, catchy tunes, and hilarious videos definitely hits differently. It’s like they’ve unlocked a secret formula for fun and joy! Imagine a serotonin study just for them-could be a game changer! 😆
Nice reaction. This is a fun song ... no surprises as both BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy are good fun. Electric Callboy is a German band This collaboration was actually BABYMETAL's idea - they were wanting to make a song that would be pure fun, one that people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' (probably a good place for you to start with them) but they felt something was missing. They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time in 2023) and met up backstage with them before the show. 'RATATATA' was the result. It is a straight 50-50 collaboration, not a 'feature' song, but it is very much in the EC style. They have played it live together 8 times at festivals in Japan and Europe with either Kevin and Nico (EC's singers) joining BABYMETAL in their set or BABYMETAL joining EC in their set.
Thank you for sharing all this fun backstory! Knowing they connected backstage in Boston to bring this vision to life makes it even more special. And performing it live together at festivals? That must’ve been electrifying! We'll definitely check out "We Got The Moves" to dive deeper into Electric Callboy’s energy.
Not featuring. The song was a cooperation. This meant EC delivered a part , then BM replied with a part and so on. It took some time (EC expected more in the direction of 6 or 7 Versions while zhey startet to see an end in Version 22, but the song was not yet finished. Only after Babymetal landet in Germany and the started with the Video they finally finished the song.
Wow, that’s an amazing process behind the song! 😲 It’s incredible how EC and BM worked together so closely, with each version taking shape over time. 22 versions?! That’s dedication! It must have been such a rewarding moment when they finally finished it after all that work. Thanks for sharing the behind-the-scenes story
Good jobs👊🏽⚡️You both got the spirit of the song . Both bands are all about fun and energy. I recommend Babymetal’s song “Metali”. 🦊🤘🏾 My favorite EC song is, “Hurrican”.
