  • I’ve found this ‘new to me’ flash that is WAY better than my old one, is super budget friendly, and has an absolutely CRAZY amount of features for the money. This may be the PERFECT first studio flash for the beginner or a photographer new to studio flash.

Excellent video. One question. If you have a Godox trigger, (yours is the R2 I have the Godox version X-Pro) do you still need the Pocket Wizard? I thought you said it had an internal triggering system but maybe I'm misunderstanding what you meant. I was wondering if you could trigger it directly from your hotshoe with the X-Pro and no Pocket Wizard or any other receiver?

No, the built in trigger works great... my situation is I have a bunch of studio strobes that DON'T have the built in trigger, so until I switch over completely to the godox trigger I have to be ABLE to use pocket wizard. It's a pain honestly, but there's really nothing wrong with my strobes that I should just chuck them; I change them out as they die pretty much. Thanks for watching!

@@CoffeeandPhotographyTalk Thanks. It appears to be a great bargain. Lots of light for the price.

I'm a 5- week new into photography, and flash, and I find that your channel is very excellent, simple, and straight to the point of teaching.
Thank you for your time, and teaching.
