@@DC-ps1xf Yep! I have a friend whose daughter is constantly cheated on and verbally abused by her 'man'. She gets upset all the time by this. I asked her whether she thought she deserved better. Her mother jumped in, telling her that at least she had a man, and to just put up with it to avoid being 'alone'. I just shut up after that because daughter was conditioned by that kind of thinking, even though she was always sad being with him. 🤔

These women all come from reality tv. Then go to a reality tv show for real life issues with a "spiritual dula". Iyanla is very good at what she does. However, these women need professional help with a clinician. Go to a therapist in private. To help you with your real life issues. Their expectations are off. It's a tv show. Of course some of what is going on is playing up to the cameras for ratings. And they do that a little bit while still maintaining Iyanla's integrity as a healer. But make it clear, she is not a psychotherapist. That is what they really need in real life.
They went on thinking it was another reality show for them somewhere they can be seen!

I remember this so vividly because it happened in y dad's neighborhood. Lisa was a freshman when I was a senior at Aquinas Catholic High School. Lisa lived somewhere near my father's house (who lives in Pill Hill). My sister lived with my father so Lisa and my sister knew each other. She's the one who told me about Lisa's father. One day when my sister and I were at the cemetery visiting our grandparents Lisa was at the same cemetery with a camera crew visiting her father's grave.

As a Mental Health and Wellness Counselor... Iyanla purpose is to pull out of them what is necessary to heal. They resist, therefore it’s like a tug of war!! She’s a bit deep and sometimes hard core but in my opinion, it works if they allow it too!!
Soooo True!!! It's never easy, to face and deal with a deep, hurtful pain...my drug counselor asked me..how you know your daughter still loves you, after all you put her through? I went home and asked her, she was 10 or 11 then, she told me she didn't love me sometimes, I had hurt her!!! She is 26 now and to this day, she does not respect me, loves me, but that pain...it still affects her TODAY

Iyanla Didn't force them to be on the show regardless of who reached out. Plus producers be messing with things behind the scenes.... At the end of all of this shallow cattiness from the females video, they still acknowledge the fact that they got deep rooted stuff that needs to be dealt with. And Iyanla said you might night like her and always makes that clear and highlights it when it's more to it, yet they still chose to be on the show. Most often times the benefits are overshadowed because more time is spent on pushback. The ratings come from their own bad reactions to hearing the truth about themselves. Another thing to not forget is that these 'celebrities' who come to Iyanla have most times a lot of ego on their shoulder to fight through before they can even scratch the surface of their deep rooted problems. Notice the husband, after admitting to the fakeness the regularly displayed on tv & lived in, had a completely different experience... Every Blessing ain't going to come see you in a gift box & a bow of choice.
