Jazzinc has done a great job with this piece! I don’t think it should be controversial to say that this piece is better than the hot toys version. That being said, I’m going with Hot Toys for both space and price purposes. But I don’t need to trash Jazzinc on price to make myself feel better, and I don’t think others need to trash on Hot Toys version to justify a bigger purchase. I remember when most collectors would kill to get the Hot Toys version when it sold out years ago. Congrats to everyone getting either pieces and great video Jedha!
I sold my hot toys 89 in anticipation of the Jazzinc…I already have the 66 Batmobile and ….im still looking for time to unbox it.,,,hopefully before the 89 comes out
The ‘89 is set to be Jazz Inc’s jewel in the crown - I can’t see them surpassing the attention to detail and effort they’ve put into this - it will certainly be the focal point of many people’s collections. Magnificent!
Fact: There were color differences between the '89 Batmobile and the one in Batman Returns. The color was flat in the first movie and then a glossy coat was applied in the second movie to "modernize" the look. As for length, none of the life size replicas are the same size and can differ based on the chassis that was used and the hand fitting method for the fiberglass. I recall the Jazzinc guy saying that they were able to get an actual movie replica for size data, so it's possible that HT could've gotten theirs from a private collection, stunt car, etc.
It was your Rey Speeder review that introduced me to JazzInc. I ordered the 22 Batmobile on day one because I was excited to get that and I wanted to support it so that they could make the 89...which I have also ordered. This thing is amazing. I couldn't settle for the Hot Toys version knowing this was out there. I currently have the 66, 22, Batsignal, and am about to make my final payment on the Batwing.
I think the Jazzinc 89 Batman is for the ultimate 89 Batman collector that is looking for the most detail available and can swing the monthly payment plan plus shipping at the end. If you aren't that person and just need a representation of the 89 Batmobile in their collection, then just settle for the Hot Toys version, its cheaper and will fit into smaller spaces. As for me i have several Jazzinc products and just could not let this beauty slip by me. I just put it on payment plan and this will be my 2024 Christmas present to myself.
I’ve ordered the 89. I have the 66, BVS, 22, the Bat Signal and Forever on order. Also several SW dios and vehicles. I’m a big fan of Jazzinc and this looks glorious. I’ve been watching Joost grow his company from a hobby to a few custom dios to these amazing vehicles. I love when people can turn their passion into their profession.
Thx for the mention man 🤗👍🏽. Just took these shots yesterday😅. And don't worry, it's painted with carpaint, you're more likely to damage the figures than scratching that batmobile 🤗
Sounds more like you had FOMO more than anything!🤣 But I have to say that as soon as I saw the comparison video between H/T and Jazzinc, I mean, how could you NOT want the Jazzinc '89 B/M? Lol! Cancelled my H/T Pre order immediately and Pre ordered Jazzinc! If I had the H/T '89 batmobile knowing Jazzinc was out there, It would bother me forever!😂
To start, I absolutely love your content! I started collecting 1/6 about a year ago after stumbling upon your video about the CW Captain Rex and that got me hooked lol.. like yours, my collection is mainly Star Wars (Prequels) so of course the Jazzinc Jedi Starfighter is VERY tempting and as much as I’d love to have it I’m also a huge Iron man and Batman fan. That being said, their 89 Batmobile is just too great to pass up. Once Joost posted the photos in the group today I had to put an order in. Looking forward to receiving it! I hope you have a wonderful year of collecting and thank you for sharing your journey and thoughts with us bro!
I love everything they make. I really wish I could have afforded that 66 Batmobile. Bad timing for things for me at the time. The price was spot on and everything I have seen on them has made me want it more. That being said, not everyone can afford a big piece all the time. And I am THRILLED for JazzInc and what they are making. I hope everything they make is successful and always sells out.
Honestly congrats to everyone getting this amazingly beautiful piece. I am one unfortunately who can’t justify almost $1k more after shipping costs to go with this before the Hot Toys version. I don’t have a 1/6 scale 89 Batmobile and space is an issue for me as well.. So it was a no brainer for me personally. Again congratulations to those getting this piece! I hope to see it in person someday and compare it to my hot toys version coming in soon 👍🏻
Can't wait. have this coming, and the Batwing. Have the '66 already, and the Snowspeeder. Moving from a house to an apartment so God knows gonna hafta wall mount and switch 'em out, but I'll just have to enjoy them on a rotating basis. If they do do the Mad max interceptor too I'll be a happy boy...
just ordered it 😳😳😳 i maybe was one of the last waitlist guys i guess?and i'm not even a batman or jazzinc collector 🙀🙀🙀🤩😂 but this is more than a collectible, it's a work of passion ...i'll be too scared to unbox it 🙈
I just pre-ordered this even though I have the HT 89 Batmobile. Also, waiting on my Jazzinc 89 Batwing to be delivered. I have the 2022 Batman Batmobile from them. Their stuff is just premium.
I'm curious why you aren't interested in a moducase for this. Though I can't justify the cost to use them for my entire collection, I've been considering them for some of my larger/more expensive pieces and the '89 seems like the perfect candidate...
Everybody and their brother gonna have the (Jazz inc) 89 Batmobile while I'm over here counting the days til the 95 Batmobile releases and ships. It's my first Jazz inc piece so I'm very excited. I also have no idea where it's going in the display lol. Sticking with hot toys for the 89.
I tried resisting too since this 89 Batmobile is not of my generation --- the 1966 was. But Joost had to post those final pics yesterday and I'm like, crap..... I pulled the trigger and pre-ordered..... time to get the HT 89 Batman and one more Moducase DF120.....
It pains me to say, that I think that I prefer my $600 1989 Hot Toys Batmobile over a $1500 1989 Batmobile. 😂🤣😂🤷🏽♂️ Because throughout the years. All the people that have come into my collection room and seen my 1989 Batmobile have asked “dose it drive” 😂 And now I understand what they mean because for this price tag, it needs to be remote controlled. 🤣😂
HI JEDHA, I find myself likecyou you I have to get it and worry about the space later. Lol..I just finished paying for the Batwing expecting it a in a week or two. I have the 1989 Batmobile, the 1995 Batmobile and the 1966 batcycle on P.O.and have about 3 payments left for each to finished the whole Batman line by Jazz Inc. I'm feeling happy about that.
I have the Hot Toys and I wasn't going to get it. I knew it was going to be more accurate, bigger and the gimmicks that Joost was including but I needed to tighten the money belt...until. He posted comparison shots between the Hot Toys and his and it was the final shot; ordered it the next day. The hot toys one just looked like a toy; in size and paint. The best I can say is that it looked...lacking. Forget about the smoke, the rotating turbines, the lights that you'll probably turn on once a year. Visually, side by side - no contest.
The Batmobile in the movie was 660cm long apparently, so the 110cm is true 1/6 scale. Hot Toys Batmobile at about 100cm is not accurate. Then there's the detail differences, no comparison there. The Jazz Inc "89" Batmobile is pure art. Yes Joost is a great communicator of updates & information about the products he is developing. Cheers.
same here. $1600+? a lot of money with how things are going on around the world. Plus how big it is, dont have space for it and honestly, the HT version is good enough for me!
I have several of Jazz Inc's product ('66, BvS) and had the BvS Bat cave on order but I'm not that much of a detail nut that I would order the' 89 Batmobile at that price. The '66 was amazing and I love it but some of their times are atrocious : they delayed it a few times for what I would say were minimal updates /upgrades and it was sort of a drag but I dealt with it.. But if you ordered the BvS cave/computer you have been waiting almost 4 years now.. Essentially for a wall with screens.. And at over a grand it just isn't worth it to me. Mine was paid off after the 1st year when I got the email they were delaying to re-design and I just decided to cancel... I stopped collecting hot toys because I am sick of them taking over a year from announcing to shipping: most things they announce have already began to wain in interest before the items even ship.. But jazzinc is even worse. The time frames are insane. This looks nice but between the wait times and the cost when the HT one will take just as long to ship but cost nearly $600 more I can see it.. Love Jazzinc but happy to pass on this one. 👍
You know what else $1500 could buy... your new gaming/streaming PC you have been talking about FOREVER! At least you'd get more use out of that than a batmobile.... Just sayin... HAHAHAHA
For the amount any Jazz Inc item cost you would expect more quality for what your paying. I worked for a both at LACC 2023 that had the 66 Batmobile and I can honestly say the quality, that everyone hypes this guy with just was not there. I sold my hot toys 89 in anticipation of the Jazzinc…I already have the 66 Batmobile and ….im still looking for time to unbox it.,,,hopefully before the 89 comes out
Do the front wheels turn left and right? I don’t remember seeing that detail

Got this one and the 2022 on PO! So excited, this turned out amazingly! Thanks Ryan!

You know, you don’t have to buy every single release. Just enjoy what you already have.

I’m on the same boat, I have absolutely no room for this piece but I still need it 😂

I ordered twins.
I just Preorder mines, this is awesome!
ordered months ago and canceled my hot toys batmobile preorder. This is the definitive one.
just ordered it 😳😳😳 i maybe was one of the last waitlist guys i guess?and i'm not even a batman or jazzinc collector 🙀🙀🙀🤩😂 but this is more than a collectible, it's a work of passion ...i'll be too scared to unbox it 🙈
Looks ridiculously good. I have no space for it unfortunately!

Sticking with hot toys for the 89.
I got edition 001. Super hyped
Would love it,but shipping, taxes and customs charges to get it here to the UK would be astronomical

Jedha, if you have the time, please tell Jazzinc to consider making the original time machine from Back to The Future. Thanks 👍
looks super pretty, too bad I just don'[t have any room. I'd dearly love to have gotten the '66 Batmobile there's no place to put it here.
Yeah man..wave 2 August..love it
Oh sh@t now I will have to get one. I guess my hot toys one will have to become a batmissal.
Dude, where do you work to afford all of this? Goddamn.
I ordered it

If it ain’t Dutch it ain’t much 😂😂😂 So did you pass on the Snowspeeder if so why? 😊
I held out for Starfigher
It’s a beautiful looking car but a bit too expensive for me…I have the hot toys version ordered

As an owner of multiple jazzinc products, I happily ordered the 89 Batmobile with no reservations about QC
😂🤣😂🤣11:08 🤣😂🤣😂 the justifying of the buy.🤌🏾
