Life can get crazy at times for all of us and it’s still relatively early. I always have something in disarray that I’m not attending to because of other things I am doing and I’m retired 🤣 Your onion plants look about as big as mine and I planted mine two weeks ago. By the way, I got the Mylar blankets. The smallest amount I could get was 5 blankets and I only needed one, so I put some in my car just in case. Also, I covered 3 sides of my growing cage and left the front open. So far it’s worked great!! I have planted my tomato and pepper seeds already because we don’t usually get to plant outside until Memorial Day weekend. This year might be very different as we might get an earlier spring. I sure hope so. Glad you shared and glad you’re very human, too❣️

I'm so glad the mylar is working for you! I got a 20 pack, since I have several of the mini greenhouses, but I figured I throw a couple in my truck as well. I think they are a good thing to have around in case of an emergency (or adding extra plants). Hope you have great success with your seedlings!

2-6 months??!! That's a lot of time to forget to tend to them! 🤣You are not alone in being disorganized. We're doing a lot of infrastructure projects now that should have been started last fall and finished before planting time! I still have more to sow, lots to up pot, and things that need to be in the garden beds by now. Seed packets all over the place. My cat nibbled on my pepper seedlings. Oh well, it will all get done (eventually). Thanks for keeping it real. Chin up, you got this!

Thank you for the encouragement! I hope your planting comes together for you as well! I used to have a cat that did the same thing with jalapenos I started inside one year. He ate all my seedlings down to a little nubby stem. Our current cat is blocked from the seed starting area :)

I think you have touched on something important - many of us are headed into the planting season with a very limited window of time. I work full time. I just ordered seeds and my goodness how am I going to manage doing all the things that will need doing in my already very busy schedule. Perhaps you can focus on ways to maximize your planting time or tips and tricks for the busy people, weed prevention strategies (you probably already have a video about this), etc. We all have struggles. Ways to overcome those I think could be a really useful video. I have a vegetable gardening book but not sure I will have time to read it either LOL Thanks for posting.

I'll have to get better on my own time management before I do videos on how to do it. lol But I agree there are some good topics there. Weed management for me is growing in raised beds topped with mulch. I do very little weeding with that type of gardening.

😆 2 to 6 months, wow! You could probably direct sow the kale now.
I'm so disorganized too. I have onions like I said before and calendula and Rhubarb and peppers and some marshmallow plant. I think a total of 2 trays. I am usually much more organized as well.
We are all trying to hang in there.

I probably will direct sow some of the regular sized kale this weekend in my hoop bed. I already have kale growing in there, but have some bare spots that need filling in. I need to go through my boxes of seeds too and see what old stuff I can use it up this year. We'll all get there! Did your rhubarb sprout yet?
