Fiat Punto fuel pump and float

this has helped me out so much as my car wouldn't start and it is a faulty pump but also found the gauge is faulty too.

It's some years since I worked on this. During the test the pumps were not hooked up to anything.
I don't think the mechanism can be replaced separately. I swapped the entire pomp with a used original replacement.

with my punto when i push the accellerate pedals the gasoline level is down,why???float problem???,like a left float or right???

@Darija100 in 55 and other punto is analog,in gt(and other?) is digital,you have a 55???

Hi mate, i got a new fuek/petrol pump fitted not so long ago, i think this may have happened to mine now as i always have a no petrol warning even when i put 20 quid in my tank, is there an easy way i can fix this ? please get back to me via PM??

my fiat punto 2000 model, fuel guage changes with tilt and after i start after a day after a while it moves down fast and then sticks to some point then works normal.???? wtf?

when testing these pumps were they hooked up to a power source or just on their own?
