Arrma Typhon Castle 1512 motor on 4S 100+mph

- It's been a while since we drove the Arrma Typhon. Testing a new castle creation 1512 1800kv motor on single 4s. Run starts at 03:46
So far its consistent to 100+, first run was 105, this is the second run 104 and we had 1 more on 103. Will try to push more digits out from this setup hopefully will do a parallel 4s and see how much we can get from it. Stay tuned for more speed run videos, thanks for watching.

I have this motor hooked up to a Mamba X for 1/8th eBuggy racing, but it seems to lack a bit of top end compared to say the Hobbywing 1900kv. Obviously from your video, it looks like I can get more power out of this motor, so should I be looking at my gearing or can I adjust the physical motor timing on the can? Can you offer an advice? I'm running 4s Lipos too. Cheers.
Hi bro tnx for ur msg, yes 1900kv is more efficient for sure. i dont know your setup but on this run i have ESC 10 timing and gearing is i think 26 40 something in this area or 44 for your reference. Stick with 10 timing because this motor is small and has high kv it does heatup and might burn if you overdo the timing.
Also its better to gear down in spur than pinion. because 1 gear up in pinion is equivalent to 4teeth gear down of spur. So spur gear down is more gradual 🙂 hope it help u. drop me a message anytimr
@@RCSpeedRunDubai Cheers for the reply. It's running in a Team Associated RC8B3.2e. Currently 46t kit spur, and 16t pinion. I wasn't sure if you can physically adjust the timing, or use the CHEAT timing on the ESC. I was considering going up a tooth on the pinion to 17t to give a bit more top end.
@@dansvrs yes keep the timing of the esc as stock and slowly increase on ur gearing instead dont be scared to gear up but make sure u dont do back to back.passes hehe it will burn

Wow!…. Great run brother!!… what is the KV on your 1512… mine keeps cutting on me… not sure why
2100 i think brother, check your ESC if its hobbywing it will do cut ur power
@@RCSpeedRunDubai it’s mamba monster x…. I turned off the lipo cut but it still cuts… mine is 6900kv though.
Where did you buy the flat rear wing? How is important for aerodynamic?
I got it from Lee Wood of CustomRCUpgrades.com. It's more rigid than the stock wing. Flat wing is better to reduce drag and to prevent the front from lifting up, otherwise it will be like airplane :)
