That’s news to me. What day did that happen? Unless you are talking about the Nebkota. But nothing ran east of Long Pine as the rails were tore up east of Merriman.
@@CNWrapidrails6834 Well, unfortunately that is not true. There was no other train that ran that day. Nothing went east to Long Pine. That is also confirmed from our well-known Railroad historian that curates the South Dakota state railroad museum. both him and I were out there documenting that train and we know for a fact that nothing else ran that day.

The Chicago And NorthWestern cowboy line actually ends west of chadron ne and interchanges with the BN between chadron and alliance Nebraska
Yes. That is correct. We actually captured an interchange with the two in our show “Nebraska Panhandle Rails” in Crawford.
It is one of 4 interchanges with the BN
The other 3 are St.Paul/Minneapolis mn Lincoln/Omaha Ne Chadron Ne and Chicago Ilinois
