Unlike so many other design, this shape appears to be pretty well done. But I strongly would recommend: Build two diffusers with complementary mirror like design and place it in beneath. This makes sure that any kind of reflection, however it might be will be symmetrical and will not disturb the stereo impression.
Why not make the single diffuser symmetrical? You can tile a design into many pieces, but that usually is reserved for making big diffusers. By using a 2d QRD calculator you can get a solid symmetrical design that can be joined seamlessly to make an even bigger one if needed.
You can use a statistical pattern obtained from noise. But a mathematical equation makes sure it is ready well distributed. You can read about that at www.96khz.org/oldpages/diffusersmosaics.htm
