Poles and Balts is really an incredible shock assault combo. In the open and in rough, which makes them insanely flexible. The Baltic allies in general are a great addition to pretty much every army that can field them.

Though the Baltic Foot do 50POA worse when charged by Knights than the Spearmen types do...

@@snugglebunny1840 true, but you're not bringing Baltic Foot to fight knights. You're bringing it to murder archers/crossbows in the rough and threaten spears with almost as punishing a charge as the knights do, but at half the cost.

What difficulty level? I’ve been playing duke level but finding it hard to get anything other than just squeezing a victory if I’m lucky, mind you I’m probably just rubbish ☹️

This is multiplayer... so difficulty level is who you're playing!

So basically what u did to counter the Irish is punch them really hard on impact. I think the issue with fighting against the Irish is that due to their numbers and heavy weapon prevalence, they can win a grind out fight. Also the terrain was mostly open here which gave the knights every advantage. Baltic states are an interesting ally and have a certain advantage over others since there one of the only factions to go massed impact foot.

Yes, the Baltic Foot are terribly vulnerable to Knights... which the Irish don't have. The mirror match is a more interesting puzzle, and will be uploaded within the next few days.
