it really annoys me the amount of people saying just adopt. if someone wants to do that great if not it's their choice adopting isn't for everyone. pure bred dogs generally have certain traits you can tell bloodlines usually know health history things you could never know when adopting you also don't know past history of shelter dogs. it is GREAT to adopt not for everyone though

You will find this agreement with most responsible breeders, the chances of the dogs that they breed ending up in the shelter or death row is much lower compared to mutts because of this and because they're careful in interviewing every potential buyer. They should also be aiming to improve the breed in one way or another by selecting desirable traits and healthy genes. When you're buying from a responsible breeder, you're supporting wonderful companion animals being brought into loving homes, not toys that will potentially end up in the shelters.
I agree. I am thinking of getting a dog, but 90% of the dogs in the shelters near me ( Columbus, Ohio) are Pit Bull/Pit Bull mixes. While I think Pit Bulls have gotten a bad rap, I just don't see myself owning one. Also you don't know the history of the dog, if it was a fight dog.

From experience, you'll need about few weeks to let Panko be fully familiar with the new home! But it's okay cuz dogs need time too :) Panko is so blessed to have you as a mom❤
Panko is adorable and of course he is smart. Corgis have a very large understanding of vocabulary. They are very strong willed, and you must be sure Panko knows you are the pack leader right away. You will love him mo re than you know right know. Your heart will be so blessed by him. Please don't dress him up. you're covering up his beautiful body. Teach him to "heel" by your side when walking him. that's the best way that he'll know you're the boss. So happy for anyone who has a corgi.
corgi's are the most adorable dogs both as puppies and full grown dogs ever. I have 2 now and had one that lived till she was 14 and was the best dog ever. I will never forget her.
so how is he doing now its been almost a year so bet he is up to around 20 pounds and running all over the place. Mine is fixing to be 5 years old and still running like nuts.
