Great video and welcome back to North Carolina. We’re lifelong residents and love the coast of NC. We do +/- 100 nights a year in our Canyon Star and many of them from the mountains to the coast in the “Old North State.” Be safe and keep up the good work.
*A lot of viewers have really enjoyed our videos and have ask if there was a way to buy us a Beer. TH-cam now has a ‘THANKS’ button under every video, Just click the button.* 😀 *It’s not required or expected, but it is appreciated. THANK YOU!*
Another story about "Nags Head." The natives would raid ships that ran aground in the surf. The natives would hang a lantern around a "Nag's head" and lead him/her up and down the top of the dunes. Ships seeing this lantern bobbing around would take it as another ship and sail to their doom in the surf.

Great job on the video. We were at Oregon Inlet in November and loved the area. We missed much of what you showed in your video. Happy Holidays. Let us know if you get to Florida in the next few months. R.
Hi Melinda. The OBX was very dog friendly to the places we went, including the Wright Brothers Memorial. They do not allow dogs in any of the buildings though. 😀
Happy New Year y'all! I loved living in Kill Devil Hills in the early 90s but when it came to jobs unless you were in construction there just wasn't a lot of money there to be made and after a couple years moved back to Virginia Beach
Hi Mona! Happy New Year to you too. It must have been cool living on the Outer Banks, except for the job situation, that is. We would have loved to have spent more time there.😀
@@GetGonewithUS I work for Dr James who was only one of two doctors with all emergencies having to be night flighted to Norfolk General (in VA). One of my jobs was to land the helicopters on packed sand if there was no large parking area available. I also ended up bartending on the Beach Road, which was great in the summertime but as you probably saw there weren't many people in the winter, except locals and people from nearby communities. 4 years after I left they built the OBX hospital in Nags Head. Glad y'all enjoyed your time there.
Now that's a pretty cool little house shaped like a spaceship. Cool lighthouse I don't know I think I'd be a little scary there everything is doomed LOL
From Western Virginia and been going to OBX for 20 years. Love, love, love the Outer Banks.
We enjoy our time there too and look forward to going back again! 😀
You guys are so informative thank you soooo much
Thanks for watching! 😀
Moved to the Outer Banks 4 years ago. They really cleaned up the Futuro house! Bodie Island is pronounced like Body.
Thank for letting us know how Bodie is pronounced. :) We enjoyed our visit to the Outer Banks. 😀
Very nice. Always enjoy visiting OBX. 👍
Thanks Brent, we enjoyed it too. 😀
My parents built a house in Nags Head in the 1970’s. When I was a little kid, I played mini golf at the mini golf next to Jockey’s Ridge.
That's must be cool to have the memory of how it looked back then. :)
@Charlotte Y. It would have been cool to see more of what is buried in the sand dunes.

I was one of the lucky ones to visit the Futuro House when it was a hot dog stand, around early 1995. Good hot dogs too!
Hi Tim! We would have loved to see it back then...and get a hot dog. 😀
I remember that castle ,,,, along with a giant pink elephant
We were so happy to see as much of the castle as we did when we were there. 😀
I have been there back in 1993 and we are going back there this year!
Semper Fi Wilfred! Enjoy yourself there, we had a ball visiting. 😀

@@justmona9647 Sounds pretty intense landing helicopters. We saw the OBX hospital when we were there.
@@GetGonewithUS It could be on a windy day. The OBX hospital has a Helo pad
And we know that could be most any day there. LOL
Omg like Dubai usa

LOL It shouldn't happen in our life time. 😀
