23 Amps through a piece of #14 is kinda pushing it. I know its short but it will warm up at 23amps. Probably an IR camera to check connections later to make sure its all OK. The chart used looks like The NEC but at 20DegC. At 40DegC (a more likley car temperature) your will get more voltage drop.(more heating in the wire). The larger heating cooling cycles will stress the connections more over time. Love this build can't wait for more!
Love following along with this build. I'm doing a resto/mod on a 95 Impreza coupe, but not nearly this indepth. But One thing I am doing is the STI tank and a Radium hanger as well. My goal is moderate power of 250-300whp but reliability is my number one goal. So the radium is overkill for the power level I'm aiming for but will greatly improve reliability as well as give me more head room incase I do increase power down the road. Love following along with your videos.
Yo smeedia, I got a Civic Type R and just installed my very first mod ever. A PRL intake. Thanks for all the videos showing me no matter what you can do anything you set your mind too. I know its small but big for me. Thanks again brother and keep up the good work.
Ive always heard this about "running a cleanse tank" of 91. (I'm in cali) Ive been running E60 in my 2016 WRX since Jan of 2017. Never a cleanse tank. Replaced the pump a couple times for the hell of it. Ran a DW, now I run a AEM. But every time i open the hanger, tanks clean. Hangers clean. Filters are clean. When i replaced my HPFP to a Nostrum pump, it was clean. Am i just lucky? 7 years is a long time on a daily.
Perfectly fine to fold the ends of those filters since it's not adding layers to where the fuel is getting picked up from.the bottom..so no extra restrictions
I already have them all allocated. One for each rad fan (I’d like to stagger the fans to come on at different temps) then one for the injectors and one for the ignition.
I take you prefer using the ECU being its a standalone to trigger the second fuel pump and I take it that's the most logical way if you're running a haltech or a link but I was curious what's your thoughts on hobb switches overall? Are they dumb or what?
Not a fan of the Hobbs switched at all, if it fails you’ll loose the engine. With having a standalone it’s soooo much easier to set it up to control each pump with the ECU
Will the fuel cleaner mess with a wrx DAM ? I used BG 44K after I got tuned last year and my DAM went to .750 . So I let it get to empty and filled up with 93 and it's been good ever since.. so I've been scared to use anything ..
Watching you build this, feels therapeutic for some reason.
Everything’s so cleannnnnn 🤌
Happy Saturday everyone 🎉
Happy Saturday duuuude 🫡
Been waiting so long for this build, super excited to see it all coming together
This thing will be as perfect as we can make it 🤌

Eyyyy glad to hear it went smoothly! Type R have all the intake sounds now? 👀
BIG BERTHA needs some loving too 😂
Big Bertha in time out until this Subaru is done 😂
YES! You got me on Frankenstein build! Awesome work on the busy uploads this week T 👍🏽
Hope your having a good weekend Omi!
Awesome video 👍🏻
Thank you 🫡
Great work! I’m surprised you didn’t use the Haltech PDM instead of normal fuses and relays for such a quality build.
I already have the PDM allocated, one relay for each fan, one for injectors and one for the ignition coils 😅
The video I needed!
Don't be like Remmy, don't leak fuel 🤣
Franken STIen is a go!
I have an identical setup on my car. I did not put the black bottom basket on because it was crushing the filters
It’s suuuuuch a tight fit on them
@Smeedia to tight, would love an explanation from radium. Love there products tho.
ok now, time to buy all of these on monday and “Stubbbbyyyyy….. stubbby wrench”
Dude the stubbbbbby wrench’s come in clutch for the weirdest jobs 😂

People that don’t use the hook on the fuel door drives me nuts 😂

BRRRRRRRR
BIG BORE FLAT FOUR !!!!!❤
You're a wizard Harry Potter
Is the fuse box suppose to have negative on it . For the relay needs a negative to work
The negative is from the ECU, that’s the DPO. The positive terminals are to power the relay and fuse
Are you not going to use the PDM function for the nexus r3? Not that it is required but it can even control both pumps separate.
I already have all the internal relays allocated. One for the injectors, one for ignition coils then one for each fan 🫡
@@Smeedia if you could go back would you get the r5?
What's the reason for not just using the R3's high current output to drive the fuel pumps?
I already have them all allocated. One for each rad fan (I’d like to stagger the fans to come on at different temps) then one for the injectors and one for the ignition.
@Smeedia you are using the high current output for the injectors and ignitions, in addition to the dedicated low side injector and ignition outputs?
Is it gunna stay with a stripped interior or will there be a seats or a roll cage?
It will have full interior minus the trunk stuff 🫡
Keep pumping out them videos! Happy black Saturday everyone! The shopping continues…
Get anything good with all the sales going on? 👀
@@Smeediamight have to take a looksie 👀
any thoughts on 2025 WRX tS?
Too expensive for what it is, better off buying a premium trim and modifying it
@ i was watching the review and supposedly the “tS” means “tuned by STI”
Call it the RS-22
It is fitting 😅
Oh! My engine is back in the car. Waiting on a pcv hose and then everything can get buttoned down and first start can happen.
Eyyyy!!! When you anticipating first start?!
@Smeedia I really hope Tuesday at the latest
"1998 2.5rs that we are turning into a 22B/P25, STI-swapped RSTI, frankenstein car" = Widebody GC impreza
😎👍🏻👍🏻
Call it your 25B
I went Lucas
Name for the car: 22B'ish.
Lmao this 😂
Def this
U need to wrap this up bro blu needs some attention
Blue can sit in time out for a bit longer😂
Ive seen enough videos on blu haha but that trunk engine setup is gonna be sick
How can i contact you I have a very long Subaru question
No one around here knows a lot about Subarus but i know you know
@Smeedia

@Smeedia good to hear. Will be nice for when I go to link and do that.
You should give it a unique name, it’s essentially a Subaru based hot rod
At this point it is 😅 parts from so many different cars just bolted onto it now
Whats good homies 💪
What’s popin homie 💪
@@Smeediamy gearbox plug after the annual change can you guess what I smell of now 😂

Bad gas will cause issues like that and fuel cleaner wont cause any issues with dam as a good majority of them have octane ratings to them
No it will not, it does not reduce octane. If your getting decreased DAM it could be from numerous things 👀
