Thank you sir! Old man lifelong Michigan fan here. Took my son down to Miami couple years ago to watch the Mich-UGa Orange Bowl game. It was apparent right from the opening kickoff that we were hopelessly outmatched by y'all. Kirby could have put 50+ points on us if he'd wanted to. But one thing I prominently remember about that game was the class and civility of the Georgia fans. Respect. 👍

I've been watching for 52 seasons since 1972 as a freshman at Michigan. No words can adequately describe the pride that I feel for all those young men who put Team above all else and whose off the field work makes them Michigan Men far beyond their accomplishments on the field. They embody Bo's mantra to the fullest. Regardless of what the future holds for the coaching staff, this is a singular accomplishment of enormous magnitude that is now forever enshrined in the hearts of all Michigan alumni and fans. The photo of Team 144 that will sit beside the championship trophy at Schembechler Hall, will live forever in Michigan's long and glorious football history. Hail!

Growing up, my dad always talked about the UM teams from the 80s and 90s. By the time I had become a full fledged fan in my teens by 2010 it felt like those were more folklore than reality.
I can’t wait to tell my kids about this run.

Michigan won in 97, my senior year in HS. They won in 23, my son is a senior in HS. At least I can guarantee another when my grandson (not born or conceived yet) hits his senior year of HS. 😂

Steve, i seriously started tearing up, especially thinking of sitting in my dad's lap at the big house as a kid. Now i have 6 grandkids and my youngest turned 1 on New Years day. I'm out if the country but my sin and i stayed in the phone for 4 hours to be together for this game. National champs.
Can't help but remember my freshman year at Bursley dorm in the North Campus. Was too poor to get even a single ticket to go to a game at the Big House. Felt bitter then about it, thought the school should have given me free tickets. Have been following the Wolverines ever since. Been let down too many times to count. It's a sweet moment to soak in this victory. I'm 56 now. Living in France. Certain joys come late in life. Thanks for your poignancy, Steve.
When I went to U of M, season tickets were available at a student rate. It was $15 for a season ticket to the home games. They did that to ensure the stadium was "sold out" for every game to keep the consecutive 100,000+ in attendance for each game.

I've been a Wolverine fan since the early 70s. I could never dream a team could be so good. 144 is a total team. They had lolls during games but always had enough in the tank to turn it around and secure wins. Hard work. Discipline. Confidence. Unity. The hallmarks of greatness in any Era. Being at Houston, seeing the Michigan-gray throughout the day, then witnessing a dominant performance by the offensive run game, and defensive secondary was the best way to end an incredible journey! That journey filled with so many painful tears and hurt, naysayers, and haters... to all of them... we did it, Coach! Top of the class in 2023! #1 baby! Go Blue!
Steve I love your show been watching since 2019. What a team never forget the memories. The Alabama game showed me this team is built differently how they came thru. Now the scandal will always leave a distain but they played there toughest opponents after everyone knew. They won those game fair and square. They proved that they deserve everyone's respect. I expect Blake Corum to be honored on the wall of the concourse in the Big House in the future. But there was so many pieces to the puzzle that made it all come together. Not all get the recognition that they deserve and yet it doesn’t get them down. They all showed up week in and week out and made the dream a reality. This was an accomplishment for the ages.
I was so pissed off that Tom Osborne announces retirement right after the Nebraska Tennessee game in '97. had it not been for that, no way would Nebraska have got any of the votes they needed. A truly classless move.
That said, team 144 made me grin from ear to ear, and I will never forget what these men accomplished. I'm 54, I may never see this again in my lifetime and then again maybe I'll see you in a few more times if Jim harbaugh stays at the program.

For people that can’t understand us rabid Michigan football fans I will say this…During covid since 2020 I lost 4 family members in 3 years. But my Mom got to see Michigan win the Big 10 Championship in 2021. She passed two days later. And Pop got to see part of this year’s run but he didn’t get to see them win it all yesterday. As he passed not long ago. During these extremely difficult times Michigan football was an extremely bright spot in our lives. My grandfather was a season ticket holder most of his adult life. He had 5 seats. So we rotated going to home games as a family. It was something that we shared a lot of joy doing together. And I know that my grand parents, parents and my sister and brother in law did witness this too even though they are not here. So to me Michigan football is more then just a sport. It is life itself! My blood runs blue!! God bless us all!

I really enjoyed watching the fans who traveled to those last 2 games. You could tell they made themselves heard in thr rose bowl and championship game. To think that Michigan's fans used to be a bit stuffy and not enthusiastic at games just a few years ago to seeing them now is amazing.

This defensive performance against Washington was all-time worthy. They deserve 01 Miami, 04 USC, and 19 LSU conversation. 21 UGA didn't play this type of offense like UW and 05 TX barley beat USC on a 4th quarter collapse.
