    The future of the game with guys like Witt and Rutschman coming up and the young stars already in the majors looks to be in very good hands.

      Ohtani, Tatis, Acuna, Vlad, Bo, Wander, Witt, Adley, Torkelson, JRod… eventually Volpe & J Dom. I’m positive there’s others I’m forgetting about. The future is bright. MLB and Manfred need to just stop getting in their own way.

    • @HistoryNerd808

      @@DJ.B930 Well put. Manfred needs to stop changing the game just because he can and MLB needs to do a much better job marketing the game's young stars to a wider audience generally and young people more specifically.

      @@HistoryNerd808 yes exactly, couldn’t agree more! It seems like the NBA and NFL keep progressing and moving forward while the MLB and Manfred continuously shoot themselves in the foot. They need to make the younger generations invested and market their young stars so every kid grows up wanting to be the Tatis, Ohtani, Wander etc. like I was with Jeter and so many were with Griffey and other stars. You’d think they would’ve learned their lesson with Trout yet here we are.

      Not everything has to cater to the " younger generation "
      It's okay to have things for adults too.
      Back in 1965 there was a Yankees game in NYC that had just 300 people in attendance, baseball dormers said the kids dotn like baseball anymore . Here we are 60 years later and the MLB Is thriving

    • @DJ.B930
      @DJ.B930 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BoleDaPole why can’t the game be for all generations?
      That’s the point, not catering to a specific generation, but to market the game in a way that kids and adults will love it the same

    Good video. I'd like to see a video of you talking about how Witt Jr's swing has changed. Looking at his earlier swings (High school,etc), his swing has changed. More hip coil, etc. Tons of his earlier swings on TH-cam. Like to hear your thoughts. Great video as always.

    I think the first hitter I saw with that back foot scissor motion is Edgar Martinez. His is much more closed and quicker but it's what allowed him to drive the ball oppo consistently, per his words, and Miguel Cabrera's, and Jose Altuve's.

    • @Archdukecollins
      @Archdukecollins 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hank Aaron does that motion too

      Jeter did it a lot.

    Wow, that back foot step scissor you mentioned appears to be a thing, it almost seems to enhance the release of the recoil.

      I think it's better to open your hips further during your swing where your belt buckle is facing the pitcher. Prime Pujols is a great example and Castellanos does it similarly too.

    I love how Trout watches the ball travel as a veteran. Bobby Witt Jr is already on his way out of the box after contact.

    • @jc3productions362
      @jc3productions362 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The swing is over by that point, watching the ball is just wasting time that could be spent running in the event that it’s not a home run.

      @@jc3productions362 True! I just hit a Homer in my adult baseball league on Saturday. I was out of the box fast thinking it was a double to left-center. I never saw the ball land. I knew i hit it hard...but not that hard

    Who will be better... Bo Bichette, Bobby Witt Jr... or is it Fernando Tatis all the way? Will Tatis hold up... or is his too fragile?

    Trout's rear foot stays flat until he snaps his wrists, Witt is on his toes a lot earlier. It's 2 completely different loads. Try it out. One load stays in the hamstrings and butt and rear hip joint, the other is in the quad's. Trout is in a different class.
