Hello, Synergy wax should never be rock hard. That’s a sign the ceramic resin has started to cure in the pot. Please contact us and we will send you another pot.
I've got a small update here. instagram.com/reel/C_xN56CNIZv/?igsh=MXF0dnA4M2sxcDZxZw== From watching my video Infinity Wax reached out and said I had a duff pot of Synergy Wax, so they sent me a new one and I've applied it half and half in the van bonnet now. I, keeping the test on the car bonnet going as I'm interested in the impact of the mothers primer polish on the ceramic, but the comparison between the two LSPs will now have to be on the van. It's set me back a bit but it's worth doing properly.
I find synergy lite such an easy product to use and I did actually manage 5 cars from one bottle as claimed with some to spare. As a detailer it’s my go too.
Very interesting. The initial water behaviour for the wax is probably on par or better than the synergy lite ceramic. Clearly doesn’t last though 😂 see how this new pot goes.
Yeah there was definitely a fault with the old pot. The new pot goes on really well and the hydrophobrics (after a mere week, granted) are lovely. It's going to tip it down this week so I'll get some good footage and then get a quick update out on it so people can see.
Great video! Synergy lite v2 is definitely winning that shot off at the moment and I suspect it will overall. And get your point ceramics and sealants are easier to apply and when you’re a professional, it’s all about efficiency and cost.
Good cidoe, Adrian, i do like it when people hold their hands up like that, no one knows everything. I must admit, the older i get, the more my mind is leaning towards a ceramic. Ive got SL V1 in the garage, might be time to bust it out. All the best.
Great video, I heard you saying you use CMX as a primer for synergy lite on Specky and Paul talk detailing. I have been meaning to use synergy lite for some time so bought cmx ready to use. Haven't used either yet but this has remined me to pull my finger out so thanks. Always good well narrated videos.
Thank you! I thought it would be interesting to do a demonstration (and proper investigation) of how CMX works and of it doesn't really impact the life of the ceramic. From my previous useage of it, I haven't found that it has caused any issues, but actually really assessing it and documenting it could be really beneficial for a lot of people and a bit of a hack. Let me know how you get on as well, but so far I am seeing consistent performance on both panel areas, which echos what I've seen with the other cars I've taken this process with.
Great test. I like waxing, but only as a therapy. It’s not the best way to protect your car, nor the easiest. I also like the double aspect of the CMX 3 in 1 test. Surprisingly, I have found that it doesn’t seem to affect coatings, but it has affected the durability and longer term hydrophobics of some waxes. I don’t know why. I think SL was a good product at a great price, but I had big issues with it and waterspotting. I hope that V2 improves upon that, but keeps the fundamental performance otherwise.
I'll keep an eye out on those issues you've observed! Apparently my experience with Synergy Wax is wrong and I must have a faulty pot. They're going to send me a replacement and I'll setup the test on the bonnet of the van (sans the CMX because I can't be bothered to do that bit again).
Thank you! I enjoyed this one, although it turns out that Infinity Wax think my pot was faulty, so this might not be a fair representation of it. I'll have to do it again on the bonnet of the van.
You can for sure, and actually, in a hard water area, it gives you the sudsyiest (yeah, that's a word) shampoo experience you're ever likely to get! You could go half strength as well.
I’ve never got on with waxing, too humid, too hot, too cold etc and then they just wash off. No comparison to a ceramic as your test shows. Sealants are the new waxes I think…
You could well be right, but this wax is, apparently, something else. It turns out that I very likely have a faulty pot here and a new one has been sent. I shall reset the test on my van's bonnet to do some more comparative testing so we can all get to the bottom of it. But I still don't like waxing 😅
Another good test Adrian, I've got SL V1 to try but the quandary is I put Siramik Lustrous plus on my wife's car and was blown away by it's application and longterm performance. So do I go SL V1 or Lustrous + on my car.
@@SuperchargedLlama Good idea, I'm very impressed with the Lustrous after putting off getting some for an age but very happy I tried some as it seems very durable.
I put SL on both of our cars at the start of this year. No polishing done prior, Dead simple for an amateur and still performing well. Do you have any recommendations for a fast maintenance wash that removes the summer dust that builds up after rain? ONR perhaps?
Infinity Wax have been in touch and have said that the experience I had isn't correct, it should be spreadable from a wax fridge. They're going to send me another pot and I'll set up the same test on my van, with the new pot.

Will do Mike.
Great response from IW, fair play to you.
Looking forward to more updates on this

@@SuperchargedLlama seen and liked it already, I'm invested lol
@@mbrunskill Oh of course you have, I just made the connection on the usernames !!!
I think I best check my IW synergy wax pot then to ensure it hasn't cured 😢 have had it about a year but not opened yet!
I think I had a faulty batch, it definitely check yours!
@@SuperchargedLlama unfortunately, it's the same as yours. Rock hard to the touch. I've popped them an email 👍🏻
@@mattleonard1078 damn! But I'm glad you've checked!

Half and half ? That'd be an interesting test, but I'm biased! Thank you for commenting as always darling.

I'd definitely go Rinseless but I'd use Feynlab or Garage Therapy versions rather than ONR as they leave nothing behind (apart from the QD you use).
🤘

Sounds like a right faff need to let it breathe and warm it up ballache wax is dead throw it in the bin
