Well, he had skin cancer, he had that removed, but 3 years later they removed a large portion of his jaw. Hes a F’n king and fighter as he never quit making music and doing what he loves. A true king!
Tbh he sounds different than he did in his youth. Voice isn’t as smooth it’s a bit harsher now. I prefer his original sound but it’s different. Listen to his 1982 live performance

with all respect for the man, what he has achieved and what he has gone through , but the man just cant sing very well again. and trying to compensate the lack of singing abilitys with displaying his old age-fitness by constantly jumping and screaming around the stage its not for me to watch or listen..
