So yes, you're pretty much screwed every cold and flu season if you're surrounded by potential carriers all day long. Or at least, you run a much higher risk of contracting them. Some years you might get lucky and dodge it altogether, other years you might suffer two or three colds in a row. The flu usually happens much more rarely, but when it does happen it tends to knock you right off your feet, especially if it's been a while since your last one.
