Also Showdown: Invincibility bugs, Not being able to start, Being made with CV2, Bad and predictable spawns, The burst rifle is completely broken and the shotgun range is really off, The fact that only RR+ members get to it first (which in a sense means you pay for this broken mess), Toxicity (which is a huge factor), The pistol not spawning when you spawn, The map being absolutely tiny and any weapon could be classed as a sniper, Voice roll-off does not exist so that you can hear exactly where someone is, The laggy inputs that come with it being built with CV2, The fact that you can't reload your gun mid-clip, People who are abusing height being nearly impossible to hit, Spawning outside of the map, Teams seeming to always be unbalanced, People with bad WiFi have an advantage, Hits not counting even though you clearly hit them or were hit, Poor optimisation for lower-end systems (I don't think you can play it on quest 1 which sucks), People's bodies glitching out when they have the cowboy costumes on, The announcer is annoying (completely my opinion) and the fact that it is extremely clunky on VR sometimes.
Glad to know I’m not the only one who hates that this is made using cv2. With it being made that way, I can’t help but view it as another fan made game, rather than something made by THE developers
@@Samurai83. unity is way less buggy to code with than cv2 sure its very similar but unity has a bunch more features so I’d say that the stuff that they use for the other rros (unity) is almost nothing alike to cv2 in terms of quality and just overall. I feel like them using cv2 is just a stupid gimmick to the people that payed attention to that detail

Also recently Iv been running into a whole bunch of sweats that haven’t showered in years and it’s super annoying, hopefully when it’s released to everyone that will be less often
Even the free for all players is buggy there's many glitches with the team outfit you hat can be off center and the shirt can be big Also THE TEASER PHOTO LIED YOU CANT DUEL WIELD PISTOLS
Showdown is basically a very fast paced Mix of lasertag and Paintball TDM. Some people might enjoy it but personally I'm a bit disappointed by the missed potential. The map is tiny, the gamemode is already in 2 other RROs (3 if you count Rec royale). When I heard there was gonna be a train in the middle of the map I expected something like King of the hill where you would maybe capture and defend the train. All in all I'm not very happy with the quality of the latest RROs. I bet they're not even going to make more maps and instead just give us the guns in the makerpen and say "you have the tools, do it yourselves!" Maybe that's one of the reasons why they made it in CV2
They should have at least made it somewhat unique it just feels like a cv2 made paintball map with custom guns that basically work the same as the paintball guns
It was made with CV2 because using Unity scripting is the easy way out. We want to keep improving CV2 to make it better for everyone. Otherwise, your review is totally fair, even if we've already fixed a bunch of the issues you described in your video.
Why test cv2 on a rec room original? That's dumb. Showdown would have less bugs with unity. Test cv2 on a makerpen map, not a rec room original. "Oh it's just a new game it has bugs" Yea shut up, rec room has the laziest excuses on earth.
I will play soon , but god is rec room plus starting to become rec room. I'm getting scared of rec room turning into a lazy dev game because they just want money. They could have used unity like you said, but they used makerpen?!
Another bug i noticed after it released for everyone is when ur in blue team your body mostly just gets big idk how to explane it but it just makes you big and ur hands🗿
The only exciting thing about this rro for me is the new guns for the makerpen. The rro itself is just Paintball Team Battle with different guns. I think it’s extremely lazy that they used makerpen objects for half the map.

To be fair, these sorts of glitches can occur in paintball on occasion as well. Granted, my connection is shit so I might be acting too charitably.
