Good tour and a great series to be honest. Very witty as well. I liked Regal especially the atrium. Spent every night there listening to the pianist AJ Clarke in Crooners. He was outstanding. Really is the hub of the ship. Busy every night. Staff were fabulous too. The Seawalk was really good if not a bit scary for me. Not good with heights. Saying that once done I couldn’t resist a few other goes 😂

Just back off regal princess and can confirm the ship is fabulous with a fantastic crew and a great atmosphere, the food available is varied and beautifully presented and after many years of cruising my wife and I are now princess cruise fans .

Hi Jamie, just noticed that you are on Disney soon. Next year only, a long wait, for Sky Princess in June for the Land of the Midnight Sun and Aurora for pre Xmas for the Northern Lights. Last cruise holiday was back in March 2019. Look forward your next one

Really nice job! We were on the Regal five years ago and loved it. I've seen several videos of the Regal on TH-cam and I believe yours is the best in terms of camera work. Clear and sharp with no shakiness. What do you use for a camera?
Thank you, that’s very kind of you. It might surprise you to know I just use my iPhone for filming, editing and voice overs. I’m enjoying I’m the simplicity and efficiency of it!

Top video, young Jamie. Where did this ship rank in terms of your all time faves, and also in terms of overall feel and decor? Anything similar to any of the P&O fleet (in general terms)?
Hmmm it’s ‘middling’ for me in comparison. I find the decor a little bland and the experience / food was either top notch or a little disappointing. There are areas we loved and areas we avoided. Staff generally excellent. Spa amazing.
@@TravelBlogJamie Agree re: decor - purely from the video of course - looked in need of a big refresh in that regard. It seemed very 'generic'? Still, good to be on another cruise :-)
@@TravelBlogJamie That's interesting I've never been on P&O. You seem to be ranking it higher than Princess. Is the food better on P&O?
@@angelahorton5745 I would say overall it’s a very similar experience. I have preferred main dining room food on P&O for breakfast and often for dinner, speciality dining on P&O I find better and more varied. Staff on Princess are of the friendliest I’ve come across, however and the drinks / gratuities / wifi package is excellent value.

Hi, great video. When did you go on this? We are looking at a 4-night cruise from Southampton on the 21st of August, but a little worried on if the weather is bad it will not be great sat on the deck. Do you know if it just stays on the south coast as I imagine the weather will be nicer?
We were on Regal end of July - the captain is essentially looking for the calm weather and sunny skies on these cruises

@@TravelBlogJamie we ended up booking it for a 2 week trip to the med in 4 weeks. We go on the scarlet lady on Monday for 4 nights so hopefully they do the same

I think we had a robe because we are ‘elite’. Concerto better for breakfast (it’s light and airy), Allegro for dinner (more atmospheric)
A bit late for op, but for future cruisers, bathrobes are available to anyone. If there’s not one in your room, just request one!

what stabilizer do you use for your phone when videoing?
No stabiliser used at all - it’s an iPhone so probably built in: I’ve a very steady hand too.
Im Schedule to cruise in 2022 my first cruise if the virus doesn't change plans on regal princess i watched the video any other pointers on the ship like free wine tasting etc and best place for deal on duty free thanks
There’s free wine tasting if you’re an elite member

...just got off the Regal Princess Jan 2020 ... I am with you on 2023 to start back ... give them and all the cruise lines to re start their systems...it is not like a power switch ... the people ... the animals ... the CREW ... they all miss we travelers...so 2023 things might be back closer to pre covid levels ...never gonna be really the same again to me tho ...
