I am excited for the relaunch. I hope they will eventually make the promo’s available for purchase. If not, having to overpay for them on eBay will be disappointing.
Im excited about the comeback too, but the idea of promo or exclusive figures make me uneasy. It has the potential to turn into a scalping nightmare for players.
@@evil-iggy it's bad if you're dead set on getting original figures, but if you're ok with 3d prints you'll be able to get them cheap or even make them yourself
Seems like a lot for renegade to do. That’s a huge play (read as expensive) to get all that in store support, organized play, and software. I’ll settle for the three new sets being made in good volume, and available to purchase.
I believe Renegade is using everything Avalon Hill did. The rumors of playtesting could be referring to what comes after, or not. Anyway, I also believe these are the 11 Glyphs, which if it is true, we can parse out that Xenithrax is still most likely in the launch box. We may even see Xenithrax and Nesbitt so they can reuse the Vanguard Edition box art even if the box is smaller. Anyway, I digress, here is what I believe the 11 Glyphs are: Going off of the beta rulebook (again, I know it could have changed, but this was what we had) the Glyphs are Astrid, Gerda, Xenithrax (x3), Brandar (x2), Yadulkia, Haukeland, Quillivon, Fellaron
Some good things here and it’s exciting to see the relaunch begin to take shape with actual product details. The biggest concern I have from this article is the mention of promo and participation figures. Hopefully these will see wider release relatively quickly so they don’t become expensive eBay collector’s items. Fingers crossed they learned important lessons from the original game’s missteps but regardless it will be completely wild seeing Scape on shelves again. What a time to be a fan!
this is amazing, we're getting a a master set nearly equivalent to rotv AND a jungle set, battle box sounds cool (more product is always good) but the way they phrase it makes me think the master set is going to be way more expensive than rotv, with the battle box being more in line with the price of rotv as a 'starter set', regardless it'll all probably be WAY cheaper than old second-hand heroscape stuff. IM HYPED! i hope i can find a local gaming store that will carry this stuff, seeing heroscape boxes on a shelf for sale will be a sweet sweet throwback to my kid days
Having the first terrain system expansion be Jungle Trees is great for existing players! But really weird for what they're promoting the Terrain System for.
Please do! It’s the greatest game, and I bet wherever you are there’s probably a gaming group or tournament soon nearby you could get involved with. What state do you live in?
I wonder if the way they typed out the explanation for the terrain system pack and refer to maps if that means their will be 2d maps you can set 3d terrain onto in different spots or something?
There should be an option to buy terrain tiles without figures. A tree and bush pack doesn't count, you need regular tiles to use with them. The jungle was a really weird choice for the first terrain pack.
Does anyone else think the art in this has kind of a retro style? Kinda strikes me as sort of an early warhammer esque or 70s 80s vibe, which if intentional i think is pretty neat.
I know it's a long shot but is there any chance of OG Heroscape being reprinted if this new stuff goes well? Has that been officially addressed before?
Sort of. They’ve confirmed already that reprinting is NOT in the plans right now…but if it does well enough I think they’d consider it for sure. It’s an easy way to make more money on designs they don’t have to spend time on.
@@SirHeroscape Sounds like a challenge! I hope they do well enough to reprint. Like you said I figured it would be easier to reprint then design new stuff!
Would rather hear about a battlefield/scenario builder app than tourney software, but at least we finally heard the word "software" in a Heroscape promo article.
They guy who typed this up was so excited he forgot to proofread himself
Haha seriously!

Yeah that’s definitely gonna backfire and they’re likely gonna be Skahen and Win Choo Wu 2.0
They confirmed today that promos will be available for purchase later down the line
Any new Heroscape is good Heroscape, even if it's just for terrain lol. Fingers crossed that this adds something beyond that 🤞

March is only a month away and its starting to feel real.
Having the first terrain system expansion be Jungle Trees is great for existing players! But really weird for what they're promoting the Terrain System for.
I thought the same thing! Haha, makes me wonder if maybe there’s more think JUST jungle in the terrain pack? Not sure
Iffy on the promo minis, I'm hoping they don't stay that exclusive.
Agreed, that’d be unfortunate
Heroscape is back. Just a little while longer.
Half a month left until preorders.
Let’s go!
Great re-cap video - thanks Sir Heroscape!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I gotta read up on this. I only played ONE Heroscape game and I still remember how fun it was.

Thanks for the video now i need to start saving for the release date.

Thnx for sharing. Idc about grammatical errors in the article
I'm a little sad the master set offering isn't as big as the one Avalon Hill was trying to offer. I'm still excited for it though!!

I agree and I think they will eventually do that.

What happened to Gen Con being in March. Now it's in August.
Pre orders will still be available in March right? Just asking because someone commented something about gencon being in August now.
Pre-orders will start 3/1
