I'm aware of Wenhan liking to joke around and the kid didn't seem to react well at first glance for me, but it was just a misunderstanding on my part then. Where I live, if someone points out about you being on the heavier side, usually they are trying to mock you or cover it ("you are not fat, just chubby"). We should have more body positivity here, being fat or not following the beauty standards shouldn't be a reason for a lower self-esteem (I see Wenhan struggling with it from time to time too) =/ But good to know that in China they have other perspective, thank you for clarifying that =D
