    Living in Gilbert, AZ you can’t imagine how happy I was to stumble upon this video. About to buy a new Genesis GV80 and was looking for a navy satin/matte film. I’ll have to reach out to Tonnie!

      You should. I doubt anyone does better work. He has access to all the main vendors. I've put two thru him using KPMF and he's nailed both.

      PS nice pickup on the Genesis. Always turn my head those things. Enjoy!

    Wow! That looks really awesome! And amazing workmanship for a great price. Before I watched the video, I thought it was another one of your DIY's, which would have made me speechless. But no worries, I was just as impressed by your cool video editing and presentation format, with the multiple windows all playing at once. :-)

      I wish I had the skills and patience for this work. Takes a special type. The guy is super nonchalant about his skills - "just placing stickers on a vehicle". Hope you're keeping well.

    Outstanding: looks great (can Tony move to Florida). Curious how he managed to work around the rear letters. Keep us updated on care and upkeep requirements.

      @DWraysGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tonnie was a gift, for sure. But, alas, AZ is keeping him. Upkeep and longevity updates will be coming. So far, cleaning has not been a challenge. Vinyl is pretty hydrophobic but may add a coat of graphene for kicks.

    hey, I was looking also for Avery matte metallic night blue, but it looks like more purple than blue compared to KPMF right ?
    Do you have other pics of your Macan please

    Beuatiful wrap on your Macan. I like that you left the rear spoiler unwrapped. I have been thinking along the same lines with my Macan, though in a differant color. How can I get in touch with Tonnie?

      @DWraysGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fl3xcity on Instagram. You can message him thru there. He knows his way around Macans at this point! Good luck.

    Looks great. You showed washing the car in full sun. With the hard water we have here, how do you prevent water spots?

    • @DWraysGarage
      @DWraysGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use an RV hose attachment filter which helps some. As a rule I don't wash in full sun but with the long, sunny days, sometimes you have to 'git er dun'.

    Hi mate that wrap is absolutely beautiful, great colour choice. So you need to educated me here, how long do these wraps last and can you wash them as normal? Mick 1👍🍻

    • @DWraysGarage
      @DWraysGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wash with care but relatively normal, yes. You're supposed to remove in 3 years if you want your clear to survive. Very happy with color. Hope the grand reopening going great. Stay well.

    it's now 9 months later, can I ask how the wrap is holding up? also, how well are the details of the car done? anything you were slightly less satisfied with, and would you pick this exact wrap again if you had a do-over? I am looking to wrap my 718 and trying to find unbiased review of wrappers is hard!

    • @DWraysGarage
      @DWraysGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's held up very well. No installation issues or bubbles. The hood has taken a couple of hits (rocks) but very small. Cleaning is pretty easy but I'm very careful to not touch the wrap unless there's a dirt patch issue. I have used touchless carwashes without any trouble. I would use KPMF again and the proof is I'm taking my SL55 in for a wrap next Wednesday, albeit in K75501 silver metallic. Love, love the blue on the Macan (as does most anyone who sees it). I'd do it.

    That looks great! I was contemplating Trenton blue for my Dodge challenger. From your pics it still seems kind of dark in the light shots. Some of the other shades seem to wash out in the sunlight and look too light to my eye anyways. I think it will look good with my dark grey wheels also. That or Avery matte metallic charcoal, tough choices! Did you end up putting a PPF ceramic coating over it? I'm wondering if the process would shine up the matte too much?

    • @DWraysGarage
      @DWraysGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For sure you'd PPF before, if at all. From a cost standpoint it's pretty prohibitive/not great value. Maybe the front end would make sense. Most ppf is glossy also. There's one matte out there but they wanted $7k for that on mine. For what I paid, I'll just repanel any areas that take impacts/damage.

    • @threehemis5566
      @threehemis5566 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DWraysGarage oh ya sorry Not PPF I meant did you ceramic or graphene coat the matte film? I'd imagine even that would give at least a somewhat shinier satin look to the matte?

    • @DWraysGarage
      @DWraysGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have some test pieces on my storage units that have held up well so will be applying some graphene spray soon. Tried 303 graphene and 303 Vinyl Protectant. Prefer the Graphene. It does deepen the color some. Just need to find a wash day where I can get it applied. Summertime in AZ is tough for detail work. Full sun, full time!
