    The cord is supposed to be routed through the side vertical arms to the front of the device. That alleviates the cord hang and is also what's pictured on most of the sites that sell it

      Do you mind linking me to the product you're talking about. Even though rn Amazon has the Elite Strap for $25 I pulled the trigger last night and ordered the BOBOVR M2 Pro.
      I've heard such good things about this over other Headsets that I would need to buy a battery for. Are you still happy with your choice and any suggestions besides the one u mentioned? Thanks a lot in advance ☺️

    I'm so on the fence about this head strap. I absolutely love the psvr's Halo design and if this head strap mimics that well enough it would be great but the fact that I see so many reviews about it shifting when you look up or move around really has me second-guessing the decision.

    • @OQPlay

      They upgraded the padding at the back. But I never got any new review samples from them since this review 🤷🏻‍♂️ I think the new padding helps but it might not fully solve the raising up issue because of how the solid back piece is shaped.

  • @Soulie81

    I've used it for a week now, and it's very comfortable, but like other people complaining about it sliding off, it also happens to me. Any time I need to physically crouch in a game, while looking up, my neck physically pushes the back of the headstrap off the back of my head. There's really no way to avoid it, other than tightening the strap to the point where it's uncomfortable.
    I think maybe one way to fix it, is a different padding on the back that's not as slick of a texture and also padding that's a bit thinner. The padding really doesn't need to be that thick to be comfortable, since straps like the elite strap has no padding back there at all.

    • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. I tried removing the top portion so that it had an edge to cling on to. I found a thinner part from another strap to replace the top portion I had removed. That kinda works. But like you said. As soon as that bottom plastic hits the back of your neck it moves upwards. 😔

      @MrStronghole 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@roisingtommy i still get the issue a bit. I swapped them out before I found out what was causing my issue. I adjusted the way I wore my headset when i bought some prescription lenses. I had it slide up a lot because i couldn't really make much adjustments with glasses on. After that, I dont really experience it riding up my head as often. I maybe adjust it now every hour instead of every like 10 minutes

    • @roisingtommy
      @roisingtommy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrStronghole I did swap them out yesterday and did a bit of testing in VTOL VR where it's often needed to turn your head around in all directions which caused the paddings to slide. I also did a bit of thill of the fight and it works great. So far it feels much more in place back there and i honestly don't consider it less comfortable than the thick paddings.. Only small issue i have is that the bottom half of the eye cover area is not strapped on tight anymore so i cant quite get it close enough consistently

      The original is slightly lighter and the rear pad is designed in a way that it doesn’t easily slip upwards as much as the Pro does. So I can understand why they might say this. But the battery solution is great and if you can get around the rear slip up. It’s a decent battery strap for the Quest 2

    Are you supposed to keep the battery back on the headstrap all the time unless you are charging the battery pack?

    • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's totally up to you really, there's no right or wrong way about it. You can have the battery still on the back to add some counterweight to the strap, or simply take it off to make it lighter. It's best not to always keep the quest charging over 80% or under 20%, if you want the battery to last as long as possible. So slapping the battery on when the Quest reaches around 20-30% and charge it up to 80% before turning the battery off or removing it off the strap.
      Hope this helps

      Hi. Ok so the VR headset is charged with a similar cable and charging wall adapter. You can reuse this wall adapter with their cable or the one that charges the VR headset. • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So this is a new addition to the strap they have added. It’s basically a top head strap. But without holes on the strap itself, you have to attach the velcro to the back and front, underneath the padding to get the best fit.
      You only have to use it if you feel you need some top head support. Personally I wouldn’t use it.

    • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is charging the Quest 2, that’s what’s slowing the battery drain because the Quest is charging up at the same time.
      You can chose when it charges by pressing the button on the battery or by placing the battery on the back to wake the battery up.
      Another battery would just delay total drain once that second charge time has also depleted, rinse and repeat if you charge the older battery whilst using the second.
      You can charge both quest and battery by plugging a cable into the battery whilst it’s attached to the strap and the other end into a wall power adapter.

    • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just have the cable connected to the Quest 2 port all the time, then charge the Quest 2 through the attached battery, so that the headset and battery remain charged. Then run the Quest 2 down until around 20-30% and then activate the battery then. That way the Quest 2 battery drains and doesn't overcharge each time, but it does not dip low enough to damage the battery on the low end. Better to effect the health of the bobo battery than the one in the Quest 2.

    Very nice review! Do you think the KiWi Elite Strap is better than this BOBO?

    • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It some aspects it is. I do love this battery solution but the riding up at the back stops me from fully loving it. I worked out if you take off the top of the two rear pads and replace it with a thinner top strip, this helps it riding up a bit. But I think it’s a flaw with the bottom ring of the rear part of the strap sticking too far down. Just looking up, the lower part hits the wall of my neck and starts to push it upwards. And I’ve tired wearing it the proper way (further up the head) but that doesn’t work well for me. 😔
      Maybe wait and see what kiwi do with their battery strap version.

    I don't know which strap I should buy because I'd like an extra battery, I'm quite hairy and the fact that the bobovr goes up scares me a bit but I like its battery system, otherwise I was thinking of buying the improved kiwi strap and adding an external battery... could you help me?

    • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want a new strap with battery, I would hold out until the end of May. If Kiwi design is meant to release their battery strap in April/May, and if that's anything like their own strap I would be tempted to recommend that one. The bobovr m2 pro is great but it isn't as quick to put on as the Kiwi and long term I found the Kiwi to be more comfortable. So if they can slap on a battery on the back of that head strap, that will be a winning strap IMO. The bobo will be good if you get a spare battery to swap with, but you only get one, so you have to factor in the extra price of another battery. I don't think the Kiwi will go a replaceable battery route, so it will be similar to the Aubika, but with a hinge point (I hope).

      Awesome! I would have gone with BoboVR's own case. At least that way you know it has been made for the head strap. Otherwise a similar sized case or one that can take a PSVR might work also. I hope to review some new cases in the near future. I have one for VR Cover coming to kick that off.

      The VR Cover fitness interface set works great with this head strap but it won’t solve your forehead pressure problem.

      @jdjin291 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So what would be a solution possibly? Cause I been playing Zenith alot and have to adjust alot do to it while playing

    • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Few things to try:
      - loosen or tighten the front velcro part that attaches to the Quest 2 headset. This will allow you to move the top forehead pads forward and backward on the top of your head. A bit awkward to do small adjustments and try but maybe go full extremes and see which feel better and then fine tune it.
      - try and remove the top padding section on the rear padding and see by the rear strap not moving up over time and requiring readjustment, it might reduce strain on the front side. If this works then you can look for a thinner top rear padding to replace it with.
      I still haven’t found the perfect fit and solution to the rear strap rise up issue. I just seen BOBO mention on twitter that they are working on this and I worry they will bring out a new version than help fix the issue for existing buyers of the strap. Maybe a new rear part can be ordered, but that feels like a bad option too.
      To me, the rear plastic needs replacing with a thinner in height one, so the bottom doesn’t hit the neck when looking upwards. It they merged the lower part of the original with the upper part of the Pro, they might be close to having a decent solution. 🤔

    • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This surprises me. I’d say, either your not wearing it properly or this strap doesn’t suit your head/face shape.
      This has been one of my most comfortable head straps on the Quest. Yet all these straps are personal to your own shape and tastes so it’s different for everyone.
      I see a lot of people wear halo strap forehand band too high. It should sit with around 1-2cm gap from the top of the headset.

    I have this strap. It's much more comfortable than the elite strap, but i've had constant problems with my hair getting caught in the velcro that holds on the back pad. When my head is resting against something (common for me because I do a lot of seated play and often use the quest for a vr screen while laying down), the back has a hard time staying in place and its movement causes my hair to become tangled after half an hour. it can be quite painful to untangle.

    Does it allow the quest to press hard enough against the face to stop light leaking? And if used with a thinner pad you shouldn't loose field of view ?

    • @OQPlay
      @OQPlay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's correct, but halo straps don't put as much pressure on your face as an elite style of strap does. But it is still plenty enough to stop any light leaking, that's also down to the facial interface being used.

    For me personally I find that with battery on its better fit as I feel the weight a little and helps the HMD from resting a little to much on checks etc but I guess that's cause I do have more hair on my head so the bobovr m2pro tends to slight a bit unless I really tighten it quite much. Which I guess I will have to keep my hair short 😂😂 and regarding the usb c cable it come already tucked in for me. This head strap is so much better then the elite strap and the easy hot swappable battery is perfect imo. I've also removed my the padding on the back so I it gives much better grip for me compared with the padding at the back and my one also come with a strap that you can attach across from the back to the front.
