Scottie you inspired me to take golf seriously again. I was talented as a junior golfer but lacked the work ethic. One of these days I hope to make it to where I know I can go and hopefully play against you one day. Thank you for setting such a great example. Can’t think of anyone more deserving
Here’s an idea I would personally really enjoy for a Tour Championship format: -Top 4 guys in the fed ex cup going into the finals get a bye and are seeded 1-4 for quarter finals on Saturday. This rewards the top players for their success without getting into awkward stroke advantages. It also adds drama for the first two events since those 4 spots have such significance. They also get to rest up.. if that makes a difference. -Thursday - Friday - remaining top 26 guys play 36 holes of stroke play. Top 4 guys get in to the 5-8 seeds for Saturday. This creates all sort of drama focusing on the final four spots with matchup and playoff scenarios for those spots aplenty. -Saturday is the match play day. Guys are all seeded 1-8. 18 holes to decide who gets into the final championship on Sunday. Cool underdog stories are available here if a later bloomer gets into the playoffs and then grabs a bottom seed. Match is amazing. -Sunday is the final four for the championship. To avoid any further luck with match play, I think a final foursome stroke play would be awesome. Final four guys in a group adds extra drama. I think 18 holes makes sense. Everyone starts on an even playing field. Sure to create more drama and last final stretch heroics versus the current format. I think that checks a lot of boxes in terms of entertainment while being easier to follow and rewarding the best players without being gimmicky. Thoughts?
Dumb question, but can someone explain how Scottie is already 10 under par to start the first round? Is it done Thursday during qualifying or does he start with that advantage because he #1?
Watching the last round especially , you realize he would’ve lost if he didn’t have the huge lead to start , he really did hit some bad shots by his standards , he was leaving shots 20/30 yards short , he almost came up short in the water on the par 3 , he even almost missed a 2 footer on the left lip , then he layed up on the last hole and then hit a shot like 40 feet away from the hole with a wedge 😂
Sad thing about Sheffler and his swing is that I think we're going to see junior golfers trying to swing less with their wrists and spend more time at the gym. The hockeyfication of golf will make it less attractive to watch. No more Fred Couples finess or John Daly wildness. No more Seve magic either, since the ballspin today if you play a little cut make them stop on a dime. Robot golf is the future for men, so we need more Augusta like courses for viewer excitement. Otherwise I think people will turn to womens golf instead. Or lose interest in watching tv golf at all.
This dude literally shanked it from the bunker like one of us and then went 5-under in the next 10 holes.
We could do it too!! Hahah
Like one of us hahahaha truuue brother

good video, I just wish each hole included the clip showing what the yardage is off the tee and what par is for that hole

Tour championship starts you at a certain amount under par based on your ranking
@@edman400 thanks for the info! I figured it would have to be a special tournament because regular tour events everyone starts even.
So good, playing conservative shots
Can someone explain how he started ten under par
It’s because he was rated first in the overall leaderboard
